Contiloe Telefilms is leaving no stone unturned to make their dream project tentatively titled Rani Lakshmi Bai a successful show. The show that will air on Zee TV has Balaji actress Kratika Sengar playing the lead Rani Lakhsmi Bai. And the latest development is that the production house has signed on veteran actress and producer Aroona Irani.
Informs a source, “Aroona ji has been approached for the character of Vahini Sahiba and she has agreed to do it. Incidentally, actress Rohini Hattangady was approached for the same role but she couldn’t take it up owing to personal grounds.”
When contacted, Aroona Irani confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am essaying the character of Vahini Saiba in
Rani Lakshmi Bai. Vahini Sahiba was a widow and an orthodox lady.”
With veteran like Aroona Irani in the show, it sure will leave the viewers spell-bound.
