However, last month Nimrit decided to quit the show and move on. She says, “It was a great journey. Choti Sarrdaarni (CS) will always be my baby because this was the first set I ever stepped foot on. But with time and other factors in mind, I realised that change is the only constant.” In February 2021, Nimrit had complained of chronic fatigue, anxiety and burnout. Did she quit the show owing to health issues, given that last year, too, she had complained of chronic fatigue and anxiety? She replies, “Yes. I feel the medium we are a part of requires a certain kind of commitment. I have faced different situations, constantly pushed myself and given more than 100 per cent while shooting. But sometimes in life, it becomes important to choose yourself and your well-being. I have spent three years on the set and I wish I could have continued, but that wouldn’t have been fair to myself. It looks like remakes are not reserved to just films after all as Indian show Choti Sarrdaarrni, is all set to get a remake in Kannada.



Choti Sarrdaarni is quite the popular show on Indian television and it has, in fact, been garnering a lot of love. While it has managed to make good numbers as far as the TRPs are concerned, the show is all set to get a Kannada remake, and the show will be titled Hoo Male. As per the reports, the show will go on-air on November 16 and replace the already existing show Mooru Gantu.

The show narrates the story of a business tycoon, a widower, and also a single parent, who is trying his best to keep up the duties of both, a mother and father. Meanwhile, there is a girl, belonging to an esteemed family and falls in love with a man, an entrepreneur, but things get complicated when she is married off to the tycoon, in the wake of politics.

It will feature Chandana Ananthakrishna and Yashwanth in the lead roles. The original show, Choti Sarrdaarrni, features Avinesh Rekhi and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia in the lead roles.

I had moved to Bombay in November 2018 because I was shortlisted for a film that Mukesh Chhabra was casting for. TV was not in my mind but I started auditioning rigorously and I went for it everywhere. I had gone to this audition to 4 Lions because I had liked the script. I think after that it circulated that there is also this other girl. In Feb 2019, I was called for this audition where I had not read the script and was not in the correct attire that Mehr was supposed to have. I was not ready for the audition. I just walked in and did whatever. When I came out, the creative briefed me about it which got me excited. Luckily, they gave me a callback. I think most girls on TV are petite girls, with big eyes, fairer, big lips and I think I was the complete opposite. Then I struggled to convince people on top that I can do this part."

Meanwhile, it looks like the sudden twist of events have bought Sarab and Meher into a heartbreaking situation. The latest episode witnessed Meher being trapped inside a wall while Sarab learns the truth about Sandhya and her connection with Meher. He runs to save her to finally get into Sandhya’s family and Rajan’s trap along with Kulwant, whom he met on his way to Govindpur.

On the other hand, Sandhya is met by Rajan on her way to her home. He takes her there and that is when she realises that her father and brother Pratap have buried Meher inside the wall. Probably one of the shortest stints for an actor like Kratika Sengar, the lady is now all set to quit Choti Sardarni. That's right. As one would remember, Sengar made her entry into the Colors barely a few days ago but will now be exiting much sooner than one would have anticipated.

However, that was always the plan as the show's original lead, Nimrit Ahluwalia is making her re-entry into the show. Talking about it with ETimes TV, Sengar said, “Yes, I, too, have heard that Nimrit is returning to Choti Sarrdaarni. I joined this show because she was unwell and had to take a break. I am very happy to know that she is coming back soon. This show belongs to her and she is needed to headline it. However, we don't know when she will resume yet. I had a discussion about this with the production house and they have planned something nice for me. I can't reveal the story.”

She added,

“I have always been averse to replacing another artiste and I joined this show because the makers needed a known face to fill in for Nimrit till she could resume the shoot. I have immense respect for her. I was roped in for a cameo, which was always the plan. One of the many reasons that prompted me to take up the show was producer Rajesh Ram Singh. I have worked with him before. He had directed me in one of my shows. The people around me, including the production team, the cast and the crew are very nice. I have been having a great time shooting with them.”

Taking the drama a notch higher, the shows will have a special Mahasangam episode featuring Udaariyaan’s Tejo (Played by Priyanka Chahar and Choti Sarrdaarni’s Sarabjit (Played by Avinesh Rekhi). In the upcoming Mahasangam episode storyline, Sarabjit will be seen having a heart-to-heart conversation with Tejo.

Currently, in Choti Sarrdaarni, Sarab is disturbed and cannot be a part of the felicitation ceremony of Tejo. Choti Sardarni: Will Sarab find Meher soon?



Meher is alive and her heart-to-heart connection with Sarab has been giving him some indications since the past few days. The latest episode of Choti Sardarni saw her waking up a little from the unconscious state and taking Sarab’s name.
Moreover, the doctor is seen telling the nurse that they have to keep a check on Meher’s health as the next 24 hours are very crucial to keep her alive. They are about to shift her to another hospital, surprisingly in the ambulance service that was started by Sarab’s political party.

On the other hand, Sarab has taken charge of keeping Sandhya safe. But Sandhya is in no mood to create issues in Sarab and his family’s life anymore. After facing Harleen’s lash out, she has decided to not trouble the family with her presence anymore. Even though Harleen told Sandhya to get out of the house, Sarab has stopped Sandhya. But Sandhya can’t see the ever arising issues in Sarab, the kids and family’s life. In the latter half of the episode, she is seen leaving the house with a pistol.

Meanwhile, earlier Param, Karan and Seher get shocked after listening to the news wherein the reporter stated that Sarab has ****ed Meher. But Sandhya managed to keep them from worrying about it and told them that nothing in the news is true. Later, Sarab is also seen breaking down after looking at the terrible situation in his house.

Now, while everyone wonders about Sandhya’s next move after she leaves with the pistol, what she is up to will be seen in the next episode. Will her next step bring Sarab and Meher in front of each other?

Kratika Sengar bids adieu to the team of Choti Sardarni; shares videos and pics from last day



Kratika Sengar’s journey as Sandhya in Choti Sardarni comes to an end. The actress shared several pics from the last day of her shoot. The team arranged a cake for her farewell and Kratika couldn’t thank them enough for loving her so much. While she had a brief lead role in Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia aka Meher’s absence, the entire cast made her stay enjoyable. Kratika in her note wrote,

“This beautiful journey of Sandhya comes to an end. Sandhya in this very short span of time got so much love and affection from you all… I'm really happy to have done this lead cameo for #chottisardarni. Thankyou @rajeshramsingh and Bharti Sharma for trusting in me to pull off your show for a month n half without nimrit being around.”

Apart from posting pics and videos with the cast and crew, she also posed with Avinesh Rekhi and Anita Raaj, who play the roles of Sarabjit and Kulwant. The cast is currently shooting in Delhi due to lockdown situation in Mumbai. While viewers had thought Kratika is replacing Nimrit, the former had cleared it saying that she will be seen in a brief role and not replacing her. Nimrit took a brief break from the show for a family crisis and she resumed shoot as well.Currently, post Kratika’s exit, Ankit Gera is all set to enter the show. He has been roped in for a special cameo.

Choti Sardarni: Sarab marries Sandhya; Meher on her way to the Gill mansion




Sarab and Meher’s destiny has brought them close to meeting each other soon. But what is God's plan for them is still unknown as the former has decided to marry Sandhya.
The latest episode of Choti Sardarni witnessed that the preparations begin for Sarab and Sandhya’s wedding as the former approved of it in the previous episode. The Gill mansion gets decorated beautifully for the wedding. But the kids who are still unaware of what’s happening in the house ask Sarab about it.

Sandhya then reveals about her wedding with their dad, Sarab to them. She tells them that Kulwant wants them to be together. Surprisingly, the kids rejoice to know about this. Soon the festivities start. Sarab and Sandhya get ready for the wedding.
On the other hand, Meher is out and in search of Sarab and her home. But she doesn’t remember the address and tries to find out by asking people. Amidst her search, she spots Kulwant in the market. She runs behind her car to stop her in vain.

After a few failed attempts, Meher finds a poster of Sarab where his address is mentioned. She gets her hope high and thinks of how she would go there. After walking a bit, Meher finds a baraat (procession). She decides to take the horse.

Meher gets on the horse and rides her way to Sarab, Param, Karan and Seher. But little does she know about the major happening at the Gill mansion.

While Meher is on her way to finally meet Sarab, he goes ahead and gets married to Sandhya in the setup at the Gill mansion.

Choti Sardarni: Everyone is shocked to know about Meher’s amnesia



After learning that Meher is suffering from Amnesia, Sarab decides to let everyone know about her actual mental condition and asks everyone to gather and understand about it from the doctor herself. The latest episode of Choti Sardarni saw the kids succeeding in paying the restaurant by guessing the pin of Meher’s card. They then call Sarab and he sends a driver to pick them up. Before this, Meher returns home believing that the kids are at school. Sarab tells her to go and freshen up.

Sarab asks Kulwant to come to Gill mansion as he has something important to discuss. Once everyone including the kids, Kulwant, Harleen and Robbie gather in the living area, the doctor starts explaining about Meher’s amnesia. She informs that Meher’s memory will be erratic and further says that after some time her amnesia can turn into mixed amnesia. The doctor says that Meher might go back to her memories of the year before one of the most tragic incidents of her lives.

Everyone gets shocked to know this and question how they would deal with the situation. The doctor suggests that they should not try to remind Meher of anything in the present when she goes into her past memories. By this time Meher arrives in the living room and everyone disperses so that she doesn’t get to know about anything being wrong.

Later, Meher asks Karan and Seher to taste her special sewaiyan, in which she mistakenly puts salt instead of sugar. However, the kids do not let her come to know about it and praise it. They then tell Harleen about the incident. Further, a few more incidents take place that gives a glimpse of Meher’s erratic memory.

Choti Sardarni: Meher learns about Sarab and kids; witnesses Jagga’s barsi



Meher’s amnesia is making Sarab and everyone else act as per her erratic memory. But how long will they be able to hide the truth from her is still a big question.

The latest episode of Choti Sardarni saw Sarab and Meher starting with the ‘samuhik vivah’ function on one side while Kulwant arranges for Jagga’s barsi at Attari. She hopes that everything goes well and Meher doesn’t go back to her past amidst all this.

However, Meher returns to her past during the marriage function. She receives a call from the kids’ headmistress on Sarab’s phone. While she is in her memories of 2010, she feels cheated by Sarab as she learns that Param, Karan and Meher are his kids. Meher heads back home and tells Kulwant about it. Meanwhile, Sarab notices that Meher is not around and tries to contact everyone possible at home. He gets in his car and drives towards home as fast as possible.

Kulwant tells her that they would teach a lesson to Sarab and asks Meher to come with her. But her attempt to not let Meher know about Jagga and his barsi go in vain when she realises that a path is going on at their home. She rushes inside to attend it. Kulwant tries to stop Meher who notices that something is wrong because everyone is wearing white outfits.

Meher goes inside to only find Jagga’s photograph with a garland on it. She gets shocked to see and tries to remember what happened to him. This strains Meher’s mind and memory. She collapses on the floor.
