The situation related to the restart of shoots is now official where Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is indeed one of the first shows to be restarting shoot soon. There is another list of shows that will also begin shoot soon, and one of them is Colors' Barrister Babu.

The show was only launched back in February but was performing well on the rating charts and was one of the best-rated shows for the channel. And as the plan for shoots begins soon, the makers of Barrister Babu have already begun their search for the main lead in terms of who will play the grown-up Bondita. As known, currently, the show revolves around Bondita (Aura Bhatnagar) who is an 8-year-old girl and is a curious little being with her own perspective of viewing the world.

The character Anirudh Roy Choudhary which is played by Pravisht Mishra marries Bondita to stop sati pratha. Colors TV is all set to launch it’s upcoming show Barrister Babu which will premiere on 11th Feb 2020. The show revolves around a young girl who gets married in her childhood to a grown up Man. As the show evolves, the boy helps the girl to get proper education to become a Barrister one day.

Actor Pravisht Mishra is best known for his roles in Suryaputra Karn, Mahabharat and was last seen in Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum on Star Plus. In this series, he will be seen playing the male lead. His name for the character is expected to be Anirudh. His character gets married to the young protagonist and later aids her to get a proper and formal education.

Aura Bhatnagar Badoni
The character Aura will be playing is of an eight-year-old Bondita. She is being married off to a 60-year-old man. However, her life takes a sudden tragic turn and she becomes prey to social injustice. As the story continues, it leads her to her husband Anirudh, a London-return barrister who wishes to liberalise women and free them from cultural stereotypes.

Arina Dey, who was seen in Star Bharat’s Musakaan, will portray the female lead’s mother. According to a news portal, actor Dev Aditya who has been a part of DD National’s Dulha Banuga Shaadi Karunga will be playing a pivotal character in this upcoming show. Dev will be paired opposite Pallavi Mukherjee’s character. Chandan Anand, who has been a part of shows like Bhaage Re Mann, Jhansi Ki Rani, and web series Rangbaaz, will be playing the negative lead on the show. He will portray the role of a female child artist’s father.

In the upcoming episode of Barrister Babu, Saudamini and Bondita will be seen having an interesting conversation. Bondita will be seen complimenting Saudamini that she has smooth hands and her hair smells good. She will then tell Saudamini that they both have met before when she was going to meet her mother and she didn’t tell him that time as well that who she is. Saudamini then will tell Bondita that it doesn’t matter who she is, to which Bondita disagrees. As per the recent reports in a leading entertainment portal, Barrister Babu may not take a leap and the makers are yet to make a final call on the decision.



As the entertainment industry has finally received the permission to restart it's shoot following the issued guidelines, many shows will undergo major changes in terms of it's storyline. In order to meet the 33% crew guidelines and to not allow kids under the age of 10 and elderly artists on the sets, many shows will undergo major changes.

It was recently reported that Colors TV show Barrister Babu will take a major leap post lockdown. The show stars Pravisht Mishra and Aura Bhatnagar in the lead roles. It was also reported that the makers have approached Devoleen Bhattacharjee to play the female lead in the show post the leap. However, the latest reports by suggests that apparently the show will not take a leap and the makers are yet to take a final call as they are looking for alternatives. An Actor on grounds of anonymity told the leading portal about the same. He said, "It’s all rumour. None of the actors are informed about the leap and we highly doubt that anything such is happening.”

Producer Sumeet Mittal confirmed it to a leading portal and said that they haven't approached anyone and are not even considering any other artiste to step into the shoes of Aurra. They are planning to continue with Aurra as there is a lot in the story to explore.
Post-Lockdown the shoot will resume and Aurra will continue as Bondita in the show.

Pallavi Mukherjee Opens Up on 'Barrister Babu' Resuming Shoot & Why She Is Actually Excited To Shoot Again

In an exclusive chat with us, Mukherjee opened up on what is her feeling about resuming shoot and the current state of the country among others.



Given how multiple shows have decided to resume shoot keeping in mind all the guidelines provided by the government, some of the leading shows of industry leader GECs are set and rolling too. One of the shows in this list is Barrister Babu. The show was only launched back in February but gained an instant following and before lockdown started, it was one of the best rated shows on the channel.

Actor Pallavi Mukherjee of Gandi Baat and Class of 2020 fame plays the sister to the leading little girl Bondita (played by Aura Bhatnagar. In an exclusive chat with us, Mukherjee opened up on what is her feeling about resuming shoot and the current state of the country among others.

She said "I am very excited about the show resuming more so because it is being done after things have been made official. But I cannot deny that I also feel sad as several shows are being shut down during this period and all the workers, technicians who were working will be jobless. Owing to the staff being minimal as shoot resumes and multiple shows being shut down, I really feel sad for all the workers and technicians. I feel the state of panic that is being showcased in media shouldn't be the case and, even though the number of cases is rising the fact that things are opening up gradually should be satisfactory for the economy, where people have been complaining about that. Rather than the fear of corona, the fear of unemployment has taken over."

She added, "I have received a lot of love from all the facets of the industry especially all the fans. During these lockdown times, I was constantly asked as to when it the show resuming and the show and hanging out with the cast is like my second home."

Inspite of increasing coronavirus scare and cases, everything is re-starting and while other actors have their own take to it, Mukherjee had her own take as she said, "Since or childhood, we are accustomed to so many diseases that we have managed to fight against from the smallest to the deadliest ones. Because, our immunity in general, is strong. So, obviously, we cannot think that we won't be contracted with coronavirus ever. There is a chance we possibly were infected by it and eve got better owing to staying home for all this while. The scare for the disease is a problem and we cannot stay in lockdown for 365 days as we need to earn, we need to eat food and in the end, even have a hunger for passion. So together, we can fight it."

Not just the storyline but the audience also appreciated the two key characters of the show- Barrister Anirudh Roy Choudhary (Pravisht Mishra) and Bondita (Aura Bhatnagar Badoni). The journey of these two characters at every step questions the social prejudices which has been widely appreciated and also led to Barrister Babu becoming one of the most loved shows on Indian Television.

Prakriti and Pragya Nautiyal to play identical twins in ‘Barrister Babu’

Barrister Babu is about to witness new entries and will bring about new twists and turns.



Twin sisters Prakriti and Pragya Nautiyal will soon be entering Colors Barrister Babu. After being seen together as twins in ‘Naamkarann’ (2016-2018), the twins were flooded with similar offers. Prakriti Nautiyal – one-half of the Nautiyal twins – had sworn against taking up regular twin roles with her sister, Pragya.

According to Bombay Times, Prakriti, who was last seen in ‘Divya Drishti’, said that this project is completely different from the ones that they have done earlier. In their previous shows, the character graphs, behavior and shades were the same. However, in ‘Barrister Babu’, the two are opposite of each other. The makers want to show that even identical twins can think and act differently.

The two will even be seen in different looks and while one will be positive, the others will be negative. The two have already started shooting and will soon be entering the show.
