Actress Naina Singh who participated in MTV reality show Splitsvilla gained immense popularity and love for her role Rhea Mehra in Zee TV show 'Kumkum Bhagya'. However, as per the latest reports by , Naina has apparently quit the show. Naina played the role of Pragya and Abhi's daughter in the show.

Reyhna Pandit Steps into Shikha Singh's shoes in Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya!

A leading entertainment portal reported that Actress Reyhna Pandit is all set to enter Zee TV show Kumkum Bhagya, portraying the role of Alia Mehra.


After months of halt in the entertainment industry, the shooting has finally resumed. We at India Forums had also reported that all the shows of Star Plus will air it's fresh episodes from 13th July. Several other shows have also announced the air date of their fresh episodes and the makers are looking for various twists and turns in the storyline to make the content more interesting for the viewers to watch.

Zee TV show Kumkum Bhagya starring Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha in the lead roles have also begun it's shooting. The channel had also announced on their social media that the fresh episodes of Kumkum Bhagya will air from 13th July. There will be some major changes that will take place in the storyline of the show.

Shikha Singh Clarifies She Is Not Quitting 'Kumkum Bhagya'

Singh only recently delivered her baby and as the shoot just resumed, it was expected that Singh won't be a part of it right away. She has played the role of Alia for all these years and now with the shoot resuming, the actor won't be able to continue.



It actually did not come across as any surprise when it was reported that actor Shikha Singh has been replaced in Zee TV's long runner Kumkum Bhagya. Singh only recently delivered her baby and as the shoot just resumed, it was expected that Singh won't be a part of it right away. She has played the role of Alia for all these years and now with the shoot resuming, the actor won't be able to continue.

However, in a recent interview with Bombay Times, Singh confirmed that she has not actually quit the show.

She said, “I haven’t been officially informed yet, about being replaced. I didn’t quit the show and was hoping to get back to work in January 2021, but I think it is unfair to expect the production house to wait for me till then. Also, I can’t resume work during the COVID-19 crisis, with a newborn at home.” Even though her comeback to the show may or may not happen, she opened up on the journey as she said, “I am going to miss my colleagues, as it was fun shooting for 'Kumkum Bhagya'. But, as they say, the show has to go on and I wish them all the best."

As we know, actor Reyna Pandit has been roped in to play the character and talking about the same, she said,

“I am excited to get back to work in these times, when people have no clarity where their careers are headed. I am again playing a negative role, but that doesn’t bother me; it comes to mind only when people ask me about it. I don’t have many contacts in the industry, so I am happy that I am getting these interesting roles with good production houses.”

However, I do plan to wrap up early and after doing the puja, me and my husband will simultaneously break our fast together. To be honest, Sandeep doesn’t prefer for me to keep fasts, but I still do, and hence, he also joins along. It’s like our little tradition now.”

Talking about her plans for this year, Pooja mentioned,

“I have never celebrated Karwa Chauth with my family, it has always been with friends. We all do the puja together and our husbands spend time with each other while we friends chit-chat and then after the Puja, we all eat dinner together. I have known them from the time when I was back in Nagpur and we stayed close even after shifting to Mumbai, so this festival is quite special and we plan to continue our yearly tradition this year as well, but obviously with absolute precautions."

Kumkum Bhagya update: Tanu tells Alia that Gayatri is Pragya



In the latest episode of Kumkum Bhagya, Tanu decides to go to the mandap on her own as she feels tired of waiting for Alia. She picks up a glass of water to drink but just then Ranbir comes to her room. He distracts her by praising her looks and manages to put sleeping pills in her water. Before leaving he asks her to drink the water, which she does. Tanu begins to feel unwell.

Elsewhere, Alia asks Gayatri to take off her veil or leave the house. The latter tells her that she will leave the house but it will cause problems in her life as there would be no one to look after Abhi. Alia lets her go. Alia goes to Tanu's room where she finds her semi-conscious. She feels Tanu is drunk and scolds her for the same. She gives support to Tanu and gets her to the mandap.

Ranbir decides to go to the meter room and undo things so no one doubts him for his notorious play earlier. However, he ends up causing a spark in the meter room which leads to fire in the house. This causes panic among everyone. Abhi gets scared. Gayatri comes to his aid. Alia and others rush to the other side of the mandap. Rhea worries for her dad but Alia tells her that his mental condition is not alright, and Gayatri is there with him.

The lawyer overhears them and tears off the attorney papers. Alia is shattered. Tanu falls unconscious but Gayatri holds her just in time. Tanu looks at Gayatri only to find out that she is Pragya. She falls unconscious. Gayatri tells Ranbir that Tanu knows she is Pragya. He tells her that she won't remember the episode by tomorrow.

The next day, Alia comes and fights with Tanu when the latter tells her that Gayatri is Pragya. They go to Abhi's room but learn from Mitali that Gayatri is out with Abhi for ice-cream. She goes after them. Meanwhile, Abhi and Pragya share romantic moments while eating ice-cream when the latter spots the goon who had tried to shoot them earlier.

As the audience gets ready to see them reunite happily, a promo is out to brace them up for the upcoming twist in the track. In a major turn of events, Abhi will be seen getting arrested, in the upcoming episodes of the show. The latest promo shows the couple once again getting into trouble as they step into their new beginnings.

As per the promo, soon after they enter the house after going through the rituals, Tanu enters with the police to give them the shock of their lives. Accusing Abhi of raping her, she asks the police to arrest him. Further threatening Pragya of parting her way with Abhi for the next 14 years she says, “Abhi to 14 saal ki jail to pakka.” A shocked yet assured of her husband’s deeds, Pragya vows to prove all of Tanu’s accusations wrong and get Abhi out of the jail by proving his innocence in the next 14 hours. She professes, “14 saal to kya tum mujhe unse 14 ghante bhi alag nahi rakh sakti.”

Sriti Jha shares the first poster of Kumkum Bhagya as the show completes 7 years of its running



Popular drama TV show Kumkum Bhagya which has remained the audience’s favourite for a long time has completed a good seven years of its running. The show that hit the television screens first on April 15, 2014, completes a year tomorrow and lead actress Sriti Jha is elate to have been a part of the show for all the years of its being.

Sriti, who essays the role of Pragya in the show, took to her Instagram story and shared her post dated April 14, 2014, which marks the beginning of Kumkum Bhagya. Marking the occasion, she wrote, “7 years ago…”

The post that Sriti shared on her story is a picture of the first poster of the show. The picture features Sriti, Supriya Shukla (Sarla aka Pragya’s mother), Jasjeet Babbar (Janki), Mrunal Thakur (who played Bulbul aka Pragya’s sister) and Madhu Raja (Daljeet Arora aka Pragya’s grandmother). Sriti captioned the post then as “Who run the world...GIRLS!!! #KumkumBhagya.”

As Sriti celebrated the seventh anniversary of her show, all her fans congratulated her for the same. Taking on to the comments of the old post, the fans garnered the actress and her show for the completing 7 years. Moreover, a few of them also lauded Sriti for the success, fame, name and love that she has earned with her phenomenal performance in the show.

For the unversed, TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor’s show, Kumkum Bhagya has come a long way in these seven years with its evolving and intriguing storyline. The show that initially starred Sriti and Shabbir Ahluwalia in the lead roles has a few new additions to the character and therefore the list of actors. It currently stars Mugdha Chaphekar, Krishna Kaul, Pooja Banerjee, Reyhana Pandit, Vin Rana, Leena Jumani in the major role and many others in the supporting roles.
