Coronavirus or COVID-19 is currently raging across the planet as it continues to spread at an alarming rate. Taking a closer look, telecommunications giant Vodafone has teamed up with Imperial College in London to create the “DreamLab” app. DreamLab: A app that can help smartphone users contribute in the fight against coronavirus Similar to FAH, DreamLab allows users to contribute to the computing power of their smartphone to aid coronavirus-related research. DreamLabs has tamed up with multiple research facilities and universities to help in multiple projects. However, COVID-19 research is the latest project that the app has added on their “Projects” page. Users can select the project that they want to support. As noted while writing about FAH, smartphone processors are considerably less powerful. These devices also don’t feature as efficient cooling solutions as found on proper computers. However, considering the number of smartphones out there, Vodafone thinks that it can nibble through the required computing power. Let’s check of the details steps on how to get started Here is how to use your smartphone to fight coronavirus: Step 1: First up, head to Google Play Store or Apple App Store to download DreamLab on your smartphone. Tap on the “Download” or “Get” ****on to initiate the start the download.  Step 2: Open the app after you have installed in on your smartphone. Now, tap on the “Projects” tab in the bottom and scroll towards the end of the list. Here select the “Corona-AI (Phase 1) to step up the app. It is worth noting that currently, the project is only 0.09 percent done. This project will help researchers to Imperial College to create a drug and food molecule for anti-coronavirus therapy.  Step 3: Now, you can head to the “Settings” app to select preferences regarding the app interface and data usage. In addition, you also need to remove automatic battery optimization for the app on Android devices. This will ensure that the system does not auto-close the app at night.
