Rejected X Factor contestant Gamu Nhengu return in 2011
Rejected X Factor contestant Gamu Nhengu may yet return to the show next year after her controversial exit earlier this week.
Bosses at the programme are keen to get the 18-year-old to take part in auditions for the 2011 edition of the X Factor, according to the Daily Mirror.  X Factor reject Gamu Nhengu could return in 2011 Gamu was ejected from the show in the last stage before the live finals after Cheryl Cole favoured rivals Cher Lloyd, Rebecca Ferguson and Katie Waissel instead. The judge has been accused of denying Gamu a place in the crucial live shows because her visa to stay in the UK is due to run out, but the allegations have been denied by both Cheryl and X Factor bosses. 'Bosses are keen to stay onside with Gamu now. They want to help her stay in the UK and bring her to auditions next year,' a source close to Gamu said. 'They know it would make a great story and Gamu would have a good chance.' Brian Friedman, X Factor choreographer, noted that Alexandra Burke had been at judge's homes two years before she won the show in 2008. 'This isn't Gamu's year - come back next year. Her voice is stunning,' he said. Cheryl - who is claimed by the Sun to have received death threats over the Gamu affair - is keen to have the issue discussed on tonight's live X Factor show in order to set the record straight, according to the Mirror.
