Kabir Singh has rocked the Box Office and how. The film opened to a solid start on Friday and earned 20.21 crores. Despite having a rock solid Day 1, it jumped on Saturday and made 22.71 crores. On Sunday, the film showed another strong jump and earned 27.91 crores thus taking the weekend total to 70.83 crores.
Kabir Singh has thus become Shahid Kapoor’s solo highest grosser of all time as it has crossed the lifetime business of R… Rajkumar (66 crores). Kabir Singh is the remake of Telugu Blockbuster movie Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda. It narrates the story of Kabir (Shahid), a young final year medical student who falls in love with Preeti, his junior in college. Kiara essays the role of a simple college girl Preeti in the film. Talking about what made Shahid Kapoor do Kabir Singh, he said that he liked the sheer intensity of the character. “It’s what attracted me to the film in the first place. I believe there is a Kabir Singh inside everyone. That’s why people can relate to him so easily,” Shahid said in a statement.
