Just when the team to face the challenges and combat their fears was set for Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi Special Edition, one of the 13 participants, Gulshan Grover had to back out owing health issues.
The actor was declared unfit by the medical team of the show. And now we hear that the channel has roped in squash player Ritwik Bhattacharya as a replacement. Bhattacharya was linked with Bollywood actress, Neha Dhupia.
Informs a source, “Gulshan Grover was declared unfit and so he had to back out at the last moment. The channel and production house have finally signed on squash player Ritwik Bhattacharya. The contestants have to undergo a medical check-up to determine their fitness to undertake daredevilry and challenging stunts. Grover was declared unfit for the same and had to back out."
We sent a text message to Deepak Dhar, Endemol India country head, but he didn’t revert.
The show will be hosted by Priyanka Chopra. So far the contestants tipped on the show are Abhishek Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Karan Singh Grover, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Terence Lewis, Cyrus Broacha, Rahul Dev, Rahul Bose, Milind Soman and Ritwik Bhattacharya.
