Now it's about low caste Bitto v/s the rest

After hitting the jackpot with the historical Jhansi ki Rani, Contiloe Telefilms is now going to produce a show for Sahara One tentatively titled Bitto. The story apparently is about a low caste girl who braves against all odds to become the head of the village she is born in.


According to sources, Pallavi Gupta who was seen in shows like Annu Ki Ho Gayi Wah Bhai Wah and Mitwa will be playing the protagonist.

A source informs, "The show is about a girl from a lower caste family and is apparently harassed by the upper cast men. She then goes on to become the village head thus calling the shots. Pallavi has been finalised to play the title role of Bitto. Apparently, the production house and the channel wanted a girl resembling Ratan Rajput and Pallavi fits the bill. Ashutosh Rana too was approached to play the Thakur, the main antagonist of the show but he refused to do it."


We texted both Rana and producer Abhimanyu Singh but they didn't revert. Gupta too remained unavailable for
comment.
