Default TOP 10 TV shows with Original Music

Indian TV shows have evolved over the time and they just keep getting bigger with time. However, when it comes to the music front, not many would remember 'original' music being presented in the shows.
However, things changed when the cult show, 'Malgudi Days' entered the television scenario. And since then, we have seen great shows coming up with original soundtracks.
Not the cliched use of movie songs for romantic sequences, not using 'inspired' music from Bollywood for several storylines in daily soaps, we are talking about original and iconic soundtracks over the time. From 'Malgudi Days' to 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi', we list down the best of the best.

Malgudi Days

That's where all of it began. The show is a cult today and the amazing storyline with some fantastic satire set stage for one of the best shows ever. However, what enhanced the innocence of Swami was the iconic 'tana tana ta na na na na' which we hum and cherish even today.
Remix

Till this show, several shows did present original songs, but when 'Remix' arrived it took the television space by storm. A dysfunctional band comprising of contrasting young kids showcasing their ups and downs, this show put the music scene of Indian shows on the map. From the title track of the show to 'Mast Mast Hai Sama' to Love Station' to 'Dil Ki Yeh Dhadkan' and 'Dance Dance', these songs still make it to the playlist of many.
Left Right Left

We decided to give this show an exception, as 'Left Right Left' did not actually have a full list of soundtrack presented. However the youth-oriented and epic title track became so popular that it became one of the prime reasons for audience to watch the show. The show also presented one of the best background score segments complimenting its military premise. Adding to the peppy title track was that pattern tune which was heard when the song was at its climax and the credits stop rolling. Goosebumps!
Dill Mill Gayye

This show became the launching bandwagon for Karan Singh Grover aka Armaan and many more associated to the show. However, I am positive that all of you will agree with me when I say that the passion of Armaan and Ridhima's (Shilpa Anand/Sukirti Kandpal/Jennifer Winget) would have not been the same without the romantic tracks viz, 'Asmaani Rang Ho' and 'Ishq Leta Hai Kaise Imtehaan'.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

This long-running Star Plus is literally the latest entrant to this bandwagon. A show which began six years ago with Hina Khan aka Akshara has now evolved completely. It is currently focusing on the romance tale of Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi) where the show is currently shooting in Switzerland. And it recently presented to us, the love song of the season, 'Choo Kar Gayi (Yahaan Wahaan)' which was the show's original soundtrack. Also, what made it better was the beautiful scenery of Switzerland.
Naamkarann

'Naamkarann' may just be almost a month old but has been making it to the buzz time and again. And this show took the concept of presenting original soundtrack to a new dimension, where it has presented some melodious and emotionally flooring songs. Be it 'Aa Leke Chalu Tujko's honesty or 'Chal Meri Jaan's romance, it certainly belongs to amongst the top songs of the season.
Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi

The show is not only popular because of the modern take on love, a mother's love for her son and being realistic, but there is one other factor that makes the show special. And that is certainly the fantastic soundtrack that the show has given everyone. Dev (Shaheer Sheikh) and Sonakshi's (Erica Fernandes) love, breakup and reunion wouldn't have been the same without songs like 'Tu Mujme Mujhse Zyada Hai', 'Kismat Ke Likhe Khel Kisne Dekhe' and 'Yeh Lamhe Hazar Se' among others. And of course, the title track too is an absolute winner.

This is our list of shows which gave us not only original but cherishing and memorable soundtracks. Which one is your favourite? Leave in your comments below.
