TV Dandiya girls

Dandiya season is about to begin and there’s nothing we’d like more than to see these lovely ladies step out and shake a leg.

Avika Gor (Anandi of Balika Vadhu) is a Gujarati, and loves to dance in her onscreen avatar. So this would be a good opportunity to enjoy herself, which she doesn’t get to do in the show. She doesn’t even need to go shopping and can use her outfits from the show.

Anjali Abrol (Rani of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat) is another cute girl from TV. Usually seen in sarees these days, Anjali proved that she is a good dancer in Nach Baliye 4. This would be a good chance to do more of those thumkas.

Tejawini Lonari (Rani Padmini) has a nice complexion and often wore bright ghagras with matching duppatas and cholis on her show. We have never seen her dance, so we’d love to.

Nigar Khan (Rajabala of Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke) never wears ethnic outfits, but has started to wear chanya-cholis for her show Mitwa. Her sister is a fantastic dancer, and we suspect Nigar is too.

Aashika Bhatia (Meera) is another lovely kid on TV and looks pretty in this green ghagra-choli. We have often seen her do dances for Krishna on the show, so it’s only apt that she dance during this festival.

Sara Khan (Sadhna of Bidaai) is a good dancer, but never gets a chance to dance onscreen. Furthermore, traditional outfits suit her and she is able to carry off heavy jewellery and costumes well. Dandiya is right up her street.

Krishna Gokani (Bhakti of Hamari Devrani) has a pretty face and the right personality for dandiya. Moreover, since she works on a show that focuses on Gujarati culture, she is bound to have picked up some traits.
