Default Predifined Management Process vs configurable/flexible Performance Manage..

Questions

Dear Experts.
I am configuring ESS and MSS for the Appraisal Documents. I am not consultant of HR, but I have the following doubt.

In the BP for ESS exist two iviews (Predifined Management Process vs configurable/flexible Performance Management). I want know When Can use this. What is the difference.?

Answers

The employee/appraisee can access his/her appraisal documents and or
part appraisal via Employee Self Service > Career and job > Appraisal
documents.

Please notice: Per default role delivery two services two roles for
Performance Management will be displayed. Both services are named
Appraisal documents. The difference is that one service is for the
Predifined Management Process employee access, the other one for the
configurable/flexible Performance Management employee access. The ESS
business package is set up in a way that all services/iviews are in
default role delivery available and customer can choose which one to
leave in (This is different to MSS where there is a standard role
delivery and a hidden iview delivery. There the customer can choose
whether or not to remove existing iviews in standard role delivery or if
the ones which are hidden shall be made visible in the role).

Per default Business Package for Manager Self Service 1.41 Role delivery
the Predifined Performance Management Process user interface service
will be displayed. If the configurable/flexible Performance
Management manager access shall be used instead, then this can be
realized via Portal Content Administrator. Iview to be used in that
case is:

pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/line_manager/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.bp_folde
r/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.bp_folder/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.iviews/com.sap
.pct.erp.mss.hcm/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.14.generic_performance_managem ent

Also managers have access to the Team goals using path:
MSS > Talent Management > Team Golas.
