Legless dancer leave Neil, Deepika spellbound
The first quarterfinals of the second season of
India’s Got Talent saw Lafangey Parindey stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone pay a visit the sets to promote their latest movie. However, it was not just Deepika and Neil who stole the thunder that day. The sand artistes from Orissa were quite the show stoppers as they performed spectacularly, leaving not just the judges but the audience and celebrity guests spellbound as well. The group of four- Manas Kumar Sahu, Bulu Mohanty, Monalisa Sahu and Suchitra Mahashweta depicted the horror of 'Global Warming' and 'Climate Change' through their sand art. To add to the magical performance was the following act of Vinod Thakur- the legless dancer from Delhi who performed to a hip-hop track.
The celebrity duo was so impressed by these performances on the talent competition show that Neil apparently asked the production house if he could have a CD of the acts. Neil expressed himself saying, “These people possess pure talent. They are the true stars of the country. This kind of s**** is simply unbelievable.”
He was also heard telling Sajid that the level of talent of these participants is so high that it should definitely be encouraged by utilizing some of the talent in his movies. Well, after winning over the small screen we won’t be surprised to hear if the sand artists and Vinod make their silver screen debut soon!
