Time has come for Bigg Boss Telugu season 5 contestants to rate the best and worst performers of the week.
The latest teaser of the upcoming episode shows Maanas nominating himself as the 'worst performer' of the week. When Jessie, the new captain of the show, quickly objects to this, Maanas nominates him. This leaves a few housemates taken aback and Twitterati can't keep calm about it.
Bigg Boss Telugu season 5 which is set to premiere on September 5 (Sunday) has an interesting celebrity line-up this season. Sources close to the show confirmed that popular Actor Maanas Nagulapalli, who shot to fame with Koilamma, is a part of the upcoming season and is already quarantined at a posh hotel in Hyderabad along with his co-contestants. However, an official confirmation on this is expected only in the premiere episode.

Maanas Nagulapalli is the 16th contestant of the season. He seems like a die-hard fan of Pawan Kalyan as he enters the stage while dancing to Gabbar Singh title song. He even mimics Pawan Kalyan in his performance. He has been acting since he was young. He is known for films like Kaai Raja Kaai, Gang Of Gabbar Singh, Premikudu to name a few.
Born in Visakhapatnam, Maanas' family shifted to Mumbai where he developed interest in dance and cinema. His father was a central government employee and mother, an educationalist, women and child rights activist, and former member of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Hyderabad.
His family later moved back to Vizag and then shifted to Hyderabad. Maanas completed his B. Tech in Gokaraju Rangaraju College of Engineering, Hyderabad. He was an avid movie buff and a diehard fan of Pawan Kalyan. Megastar Chiranjeevi was his dance idol.
Maanas started his career quite early as a child actor with the 2001 Telugu film Narasimha Naidu and has even won the prestigious Nandi award for his exceptional performance.
Having made his debut as a male lead with Zhalak (in 2015), he went on to feature in the films Kai Raja Kai, Premikuda, Goli Soda and others.
On the TV front, Maanas appeared in the Doordarshan show Pithrudevobhava and Bhale Chancele. However, she shot to fame with the show Koilamma, produced by eminent filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao. Maanas later featured in the daily soap Deeparadhana featuring Prabhakar and Priyanka Naidu in the lead roles.
Maanas has played the lead in the upcoming Telugu film Ksheera Sagara Madhanam.

The 5th edition of Bigg Boss Telugu is set to entertain the telly audiences in a new time slot.
The show will now air at 10PM on weekdays while the weekend episodes will continue to air at 9PM. Notably, the previous seasons were aired at 9:30 PM on weekdays.
The channel airing the upcoming season has confirmed the same on its social media handle recently. However, this change in time slot has evoked a mixed response from netizens.
