Housewife Geeta Singh Gaur to become the third crorepati; Amitabh Bachchan gives a standing ovation: Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 is about to witness its third crorepati in the upcoming episode. The latest promo gives a glimpse into the winning moment of Geeta Singh Gaur. Geeta Singh Gaur will take the hot seat this week to become the third crorepati of the season with her win of Rs 1 crore. She will further be seen attempting for the jackpot Rs 7 crore question too. The promo out on social media shows Geeta talking about her life. She shares that she is a 53-year-old housewife who has spent her life raising her kids. Following this, she says that she is ready to begin the ‘second inning’ of her life and wishes to live it for herself. Geeta’s video played on the shows, shows her driving a jeep too. The promo begins with her introduction and ends with host Amitabh Bachchan's whopping announcement of her win. The host gives her a standing ovation as she wins Rs 1 crore, becoming the third crorepati. The promo is captioned as “Umar ki second innings mein, Geeta humari nayi contestant hain har Grhinee ke liye ek misal, Dekhiye inhe #KaunBanegaCrorepati ke manch par.⁠” Previously, Kaun Banega Crorepati saw another of its crorepatis in Himani Bundela and Sahil Ahirwar. Himani was the first visually challenged contestant of the season. Meanwhile, Sahil is an IAS aspirant. Both of them quit the game at the jackpot question and took home prize money of Rs 1 crore, without taking a risk.

Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Rohit Shetty for the Shaandaar Shukravaar special episode. With the special Diwali week starting from 1st November to 5th November, the show will be lit with diyas and rangolis, where Big B along with the guests and the audience will be seen celebrating the festival with great enthusiasm. In the Shaandaar Shukravaar episode, the trio will take charge of the hotseat and will be seen playing the game along with the host Amitabh Bachchan. Apart from playing the game, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Rohit Shetty will also create fun and engaging moments during their time on the show. Reunites of Sholay for a ‘Shaandar Shukravaar’: Thought not all from the film are there, but with Mr. Bachchan, Ramesh Sippy and Hema Malini coming back together on screen is enough to set the vibe and rewinds the tape back to one of the most entertaining and successful movies ever made in the Indian cinema. The iconic dialogues like ‘kitne admi the’, ‘jo dar gaya who mar gaya’ of the most fascinating villain of all films, Gabbar (played by late Amjad Khan) are still not forgotten and hunched to most us like the film released yesterday. Unfortunately, Amjad Khan who portrayed the role with utmost perfection is no more, but Mr. Bachchan and Hema Malini do need full as they imitate these dialogues on the show.

Shurasena. Without the help of any lifeline, she goes for option D and she wins the amount. She finally plays for Rs. 1 crore. Her husband advises her to play the question only if she is confident else they now have enough to lead a comfortable life. The question is – During World War I, at which battle in Turkey in 1915-16 did around 16,000 Indian army soldiers bravely fight along with the Allies? Options – A. Galicia, B. Ankara, C. Tabsor and D. Gallipoli, Savita Bhati decides to quit the game. Before leaving, she is required to take a guess and she selects option D. Host Big B says her answer could make her win Rs. 1 crore. However, Savita shares that she wasn’t confident about her answer and hence is happy to win Rs. 50 lakh.
Guests Pankaj Tripathi and Pratik Gandhi witness a lot of entertainment and a fun banter as the guests will be seen sitting on the hotseat. They will be playing the game for the causes that they support and the winning amount will be donated to Pandit Benaras Tiwari Hemanvanti Devi Foundation and Mukul Trust, respectively.

Pranshu is a visiting faculty in a local government school where he teaches Maths to the students of class 9th and 10th. The 28-year-old contestant has as strikingly different personality who amazes not only the viewers but Big B as well. He played a splendid game and took home Rs 50 lakh as he was not entirely sure about the answer. The question worth Rs 1 crore that Pranshu Tripathi had to quit as he didn’t have any lifeline was, “The royal ship, Ganj-i-Sawai, which was looted by the British pirate Henry Every, was the property of which Indian ruler?” The options are: A. Tipu Sultan, B. Haidar Ali, C. Aurangzeb, D. Baji Rao II, The Answer is C. Aurangzeb.

Controversies:

KBC 13 contestant lands in legal trouble for participating in the show. On the show Desh Bandhu had shared that he is a railway official. It was his dream to be on KBC and meet Amitabh Bachchan. While he fulfilled his desire, he has now been slapped with a charge sheet. As per reports, for his participation, Desh Bandhu was in Mumbai for a couple of days. Even though he had informed his seniors about the leaves, his application was not approved. He has been slapped with a charge sheet which has also led to some of the railway employees protesting against it. They have called it unfair on the part of the administration. According to reports, the railway administration has been silent on the matter.
Viewer calls both 'question and answer wrong' in recent episode, producer Siddhartha Basu clarifies with justification, 'No error whatsoever' - Sharing a screenshot, the viewer wrote, "Wrong question and answer in today’s episode of @KBCsony. Have followed several sessions on TV. Normally sitting in #LokSabha begins with Zero hour and sitting in #RajyaSabha begins with Question hour. Please get it checked. @SrBachchan @LokSabhaSectt @babubasu."
Producer Siddhartha Basu clarified, "No error whatsoever. Kindly check the handbooks for members of the Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha for yourself. In both houses, unless otherwise directed by the speaker/chairperson, sittings conventionally begin with Question Hour, followed by Zero Hour." However, the viewer shared another screenshot, which led the producer to tell him that he is trying to find an error where there is none. This is the conversation that followed.
The viewer wrote in response, "Mr. Basu, thank you for your response. I cross checked the information on Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha websites. The two screenshots testify that both the question, as well as the answer were wrong. Must mention that sitting in Rajya Sabha begins at 11.00 am." Siddhartha reacted firmly, "These spell out in black & white exactly what the question & answer assert. Please read them or any other authoritative source again. There is no room for misinterpretation. It's odd that you should persist with seeing an error where there is none. In the end, the viewer conceded, "Though, there was a slight mistake in the fact I mentioned. It should instead have been vice-versa. LS begins with Question Hour and RS begins with Zero Hour. My apologies for it. However, the point raised by me still stands valid."
After a question related to the pulse rate, Big B goes to check his own pulse rate. He says, ‘I don’t have any’. Later he says, “After I met with an accident, doctors operated my wrist, and since then I can’t feel my pulse on my wrist. Sometimes I joke with others to check my pulse and then they get shocked unable to find it. I find it funny at times.”

The final step to reaching the ‘hot seat’ aka ‘Fastest Finger First’ is modified to ‘Triple Test’. Unlike the previous seasons wherein the contestants had to arrange their answers in chronological order, this time they will have to answer three general knowledge questions. The one who answers all three in the shortest time will win a chance to sit on the ‘hot seat’ and play the quiz with Big B. (Pic: Instagram)

Audience poll to return

The studio audience is going to return in KBC 13 and with their return, the show will see the return of the Audience Poll lifeline. This means that the hot seat contestant will be able to take cues from the audience when they find difficulty in answering a question. A revamped set

The set of the 13th season of the show has been given a fresh look with some distinct changes. The stage floor will be designed with LED lights and adding to the spirit of the show will be the introduction of Augmented Reality.
