Prospective hosts of Jhalak dikhla ja

After finalising the three judges Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Saroj Khan it’s now time to freeze on the hosts of Jhalak dikhla ja.



Contrary to common assumption that Prachi Desai may host the third season of the show, Mona Singh and Rohit Roy, hosts of previous seasons are tipped to host the new season too. But this comes with a rider. If things do not work out with Mona and Rohit, the second option would be Shiv Pandit with Sushma Reddy or Shiv Pandit with Shweta Tiwari. Shiv Pandit is currently acting in FIR on Sab TV.



A well placed source from the industry informs, “Sony is keen on having Mona Singh and Rohit Roy as hosts for one more time. Both are in talks with Sony for the show but nothing is confirmed as there is a date problem with Mona Singh. The channel is waiting for her date issues to be sorted. Meanwhile, they are also considering Shweta Tiwari, Sushma Reddy and Shiv Pandit. Most of them have already done a mock shoot for the show. It will take two more days for things to be finalised. And as regards Ashutosh’s participation, he was approached but is not one of the participants. ”

Rehearsals will start from January 12 and the shooting is likely to begin from February 21. Choreographers have been finalised as well. Celebs that are finalised have not yet been informed about other participants and their respective choreographers. A meeting will be held on the 12th with everyone who is a part of the show followed by the rehearsals.”



Mona Singh said, “Yes, I have been approached to host Jhalak… but my dates are clashing. If things fall into place, I will do the show. As of now I have no idea whether I am hosting Jhalak… or not.”

Rohit Roy said, “I am in talks for the show. As of now I am staying away from television but Jhalak… is my favourite show and I would love to be a part of it if everything works out.”



Shweta Tiwari’s secretary Sheela had a similar thing to say. She said, “Shweta is considering the offer but nothing is confirmed yet.”
