Viewers hooked on to Star One’s Love Ne Mila Di Jodi could soon be in for a disappointment.

The buzz doing the rounds of the television industry is that Star One’s Love Ne Mila Di Jodi will soon go off air. The show which started in June this year, is tipped to wind up by the first or second week of October.
Love Ne Mila Di Jodi will be replaced by another show produced by Cinevistaas. The show is called as Kya Yeh Pyaar Hai and it is an intense love story. The channel is expects the new show to rake in decent TRPs.

Love Ne Mila Di Jodi was launched with many expectations. The stars include Gaurav Khanna, Chandana Sharma, Karan Thacker, Perneet Chauhan, Simran Kaur, Dishank Arora.

A source informs, “Even I have heard that the show is going off air, but till now we have not received any confirmation from the channel regarding this.”

We contacted Gaurav Khanna and Chandana Sharma but they did not revert. All messages sent to them remain unanswered.

About the show:
  • Love Ne Mila Di Jodi (English: A Match Made By Love) is an Indian soap opera that aired on STAR One from 22 June 2009 to 26 February 2010.
  • Love Ne Milaa Di Jodi to launch on 17th June on Star One..
  • Star One's new youth-based show, on three brothers and three sisters will launch on 17th June and will take up the 9.30 PM slot..
  • Star One's tale of three brothers and three sisters, 'Love Ne Milaa Di Jodi', produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms, featuring Gaurav Khanna, Chandana Sharma, Karan Tacker, Dishank Arora, Parmeet and Simran will launch on 17th June at 9.30 PM in Monday to Friday slot.
Story, Plot:
  • Balraj Saxena is the Head of Security for a businesswoman Ila Gujral (Sujata Sehgal) in Mumbai, India. Balraj has a wife and three sons - Prithvi (Gaurav Khanna), Sameer (Karan Tacker) and Varun (Dishank Arora) who live in Manali. Balraj is about to retire and head back to Manali to spend all his free time with his family. On the last days of his service, Ila throws an engagement party for her eldest daughter, Damini (Chandana Sharma) with Inder (Sandeep Rajora). Ila has two other daughters–Avni (Perneet Chauhan) and Roshni (Simran Kaur). At Damini's engagement party, a drunk journalist, Chaitanya, threatens Ila vowing to reveal her deepest secret. Balraj takes Chaitanya into custody and away from the party. After some time, a gunshot is heard and Chaitanya is found dead. Balraj is arrested as he was the one who dragged Chaitanya away from the party and threatened him.
  • Damini then teams up with Roshni first and later Avni to reveal the true identity of Mausi-Munna-Rani. The sisters are able to prove that Prithvi's mother was ****ed by Munna, not due to Damini's negligence. They are also able to prove that Mausi and Rani were mixing slow poison in Avni's juice to **** her unborn child. The mms of Roshni in Munna's phone is also cleverly destroyed by Damini with Varun's help. Once the truth is out, Prithvi sends Munna-Mausi and Rani to jail. In the final episode, the show takes a leap of four months. Prithvi and Damini have started their security agency, Sameer and Avni deliver a baby boy and Varun and Roshni get married. Another leap of two years is shown where Prithvi and Damini have a baby girl and all the three couples and their children live happily ever after.

This means Shakuntala, the periodic love story coming from Sagar Pictures which was aired at two slots 8 PM as well as 9.30 PM will now be shown only at the 8 PM slot.

Confirming this, Amrit Sagar of Sagar Pictures says, "Shakuntala was aired at the time slots 8 PM and 9.30 PM. The channel felt that 8 PM is a better slot for the periodic show and we will be sticking to that, while the channel will be launching a new show at the 9.30 PM slot".

We called Neelima Bajpai of Shakuntalam Telefilms, but she was unaware of the time slot given to her show, and said, "I have no idea about the time slot; please talk to the channel for this".

Love Ne Milaa Di Jodi, as reported earlier is the tale of three brothers and three sisters who have a set plan in mind, but things do not happen as per their plans. And as the theme of the show aptly suggests, 'Plan main nahi thi love story, par love ne milaadi Jodi'".
