COLORS' Maat Pitaah Ke Charno Mein Swarg, produced by Rajan Shahi's Directors' Kut has generated an overwhelming curiosity amongst all generations in its very first week of launch, and now the show is headed for a highpoint tonight, July 6th.


According to our source, "The initial episodes have gotten a good response, and the second week will see the pillar of strength of the Tripathi family, Kamla Tripathi (Pooja Madaan) getting caught in a stampede and breathing her last, not before saving her polio affected son Shubh(Siddharth). This emotional episode will be aired tonight".

We called up Producer Rajan Shahi who is happy with the feed back he has got over the first week of launch. "The show is high on emotional content, and has shown a great mother and son relationship in its initial episodes. The relationship between a father and son which has not been explored in depth on television will be seen in the coming episodes. Monday's episode will see a major high point which will change the lives of the father and son forever".

Talking about the short and sweet comeback of Pooja Madaan who essays the character of Kamla, Rajan says, "Pooja is a great actress, and I have been trying to convince her to do a role on my show for the past two years. However, she has her own family commitments, and could manage to do a small cameo only. This author-backed role of the strong woman, loving mother and wife, Kamla convinced her to take it up. The story post Monday will take some unexpected and emotional twists which will take the show to a new high".

We called up Pooja who talked about her brief yet distinct role in the show. "The lady Kamla Tripathi is a simple, emotional character; a strong lady and a loving mother. The show talked about principles and the upbringing parents give their children. I loved playing the character, and shot for 25 days on the whole".

She goes on, "Rajan had been trying his best to convince me for a long time now. But I could not take up a longer role as my priority is my family and my daughter. She has not yet completed three, and I did not want a full-fledged role. I am happy to have bagged this cameo on a channel like COLORS and with Rajan Shahi. Even now, I am open to cameos and really look forward to more offers".

The episode tonight is going to be a very emotional one, wherein Kamla tries to save her kid Shubh from the stampede in the mela, and in the process dies. "The episode was shot brilliantly in Vrindavan. It was very difficult to shoot the death scene, as this was my first experience dying in a show. I was quite nervous when I started shooting for the scene, but by the time I shot for the death scene, I had all the confidence. After Kamla's death the father and son undergo an emotional trauma wherein they see Kamla in Yashoda (Jyoti Gauba)", states Pooja.

According to our source, "The story will have a twist wherein Yashoda the young widow who has been dumped by her in-laws takes solace at Mehru Chachi's (Amardeep Jha) house, and Mehru Chachi will later on compel Satya (Yatin Karyekar) to get married to Yashoda. With this particular track, the show Swarg also depicts the widows' culture in Vrindavan, who are abandoned by their family once they lose their husband. The remarriage of Yashoda to Satya will be the next high point in the show".

Now that it has got an extension, everyone is looking ahead to what will happen in Colors show Jeevan Saathi next. Apparently, over the last few days, the show’s promos are grabbing attention that has everyone wondering as to who is going to be the new entrant in the show?
Well, we’re hearing that there won’t be any new addition to the cast but one of the existing actors will reveal his true identity.


After much persuasion, a source informs, “No new actor is entering the show. It’s the main lead Aamir Dalvi whose character will take a new dimension. What will be revealed tonight is that Ishwar (Aamir Dalvi) turns up as an extremely rich man. He’s now comeback to take his wife Viraj (Vaani Sharma) Now, you please watch the show to know what transpires this track.”


Earlier, we had called producer Hemal Thakkar and he too refuted any talks of a new character in Jeevan Saathi.


We called both Aamir Dalvi and lead actress Vaani Sharma but they simply refused to comment anything.

Last week Wiki reported that Sunrise Telefilms was all set to produce a show for NDTV Imagine titled Taqdeer. Now it is reported that the show’s title has been changed from Taqdeer to Palkon Ki Chaon Mein. The show is about two girls of which one is poor and the other is rich.


Informs our source, “The show is now titled as Palkon Ki Chaon Mein and is a story of two girls – one poor and the other rich. The show will have actors Rajendra Gupta, Madhuri Sanjiv Dixit and Adarsh Gautam playing prominent characters in the show. The protagonists will be fresh faces and it is going to be a prime-time daily.”


When contacted both Rajendra Gupta and Madhuri Dixit refused to comment.


Actress Madhuri Sanjiv Dixit was seen in Chacha Chaudhary as Chachi opposite veteran Raghunath Yadav.


We sent a text message to the producer Rashmi Sharma but she didn’t revert.

Sony’s Dekh India Dekh is making some important changes. The gorgeous Shweta Gulati has replaced Shekhar Suman as host of the show. Suman will judge the show with Archana Puran Singh.



It’s just been a month since the show went on air and the show will have a major change in the format. The show which was an extension of Comedy Circus will now revert to the format of Comedy Circus. It is alleged that since Dekh India Dekh was not doing well on the TRP chart the team thought it best to revert to their time tested formula.



Giving details on the change a source says, “Now audiences will not only see competition amongst all the actors but the show will also do some stand- up comedy. The show will be now shot in the studio instead of different locations. However, all the characters will remain the same. Though there will be competition amongst all the actors there will not be any elimination in the show but there will be only comedy to entertain the audiences.”


We contacted Shweta Gulati who said, “Actually I was offered the show long back but I wasn’t comfortable about it at that point of time. Now that the format has been changed I think I can host the show well and this is the first time that I will be hosting a comedy show.”


We also contacted Vipul Shah of Optymistix who confirmed the news saying, “Yes, there will be a format change in the show.” However he refrained from giving any more information.

Back in May we had reported on Sahara One’s spoof on Dus ka Dum which was titled Dus ka channa. Unfortunately, the channel has s****ped the show.


Hello Kaun! Pehchaan Kaun winner Rajat Bhagat, who’s an ace at mimicking Salman Khan, was supposed to host this show.



Confirming the news, Bhagat says, “Sadly, it’s true that Dus ka channa has been s****ped. Unfortunately, certain things couldn’t work out and thus the channel did not go ahead with the show.”

Post the leap in Tujh Sang there will be two new entries in the show.



Actress Garima Bhatnagar who was last seen in 9X’s Veeranwali is coming back on television after a hiatus of seven months. The actress will be seen essaying the character of Bubbly in the show.


Informs a source from the show, “Garima will essay the character of Bubbly, Sandeep Baswana's (Rajveer) sister. She will play the parallel lead in the show. She later gets married to someone who will later turn negative in the show. After which she faces a lot of problems as she faces domestic violence and molestation.”


When contacted, Garima confirmed the news and said, “I am essaying the character of Bubbly who is a simple and lively girl. She doesn’t want to get married and thus engrosses herself in her work. My entry will air on Tuesday.”

Kabir Khan and Mini Mathur indeed make an ideal couple. The way they are juggling their careers as well as the responsibility of their two little children- Vivaan and Sairah is quite exemplifying.


Says our source, "The way they plan their schedules is apt. Kabir who is now basking in the glory of the success of his directorial venture New York, obviously feels this is a good time for Mini to catch up with her career."

Mini is more than happy to get a break from her motherly duties, and is all set to host the adventure based show on Sony, Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao. She says, "This jungle is not for kids; now that the film has released and received a fabulous response, Kabir has promised he will take care of the kids and will be shuttling over the weekends to catch up with me! I definitely will go crazy here for two months!"

Adds our source, "The time that Kabir spends with his kids will make up for what he missed during the shooting of New York. It will give him the well needed family time with Vivaan and Sairah. A pure family man like Kabir will totally love such an opportunity."

The source further tells, "This kind of understanding between Mini and Kabir is what makes them click as a couple."

Well, this just proves that if there are a lot of broken marriages in Bollywood, then this is the good side of this industry!

Saumya Tandon who was recently seen partnering Jay Bhanushali as host in Zee's Dance India Dance has now taken up a Punjabi film.



Says she, "I have signed up for a Punjabi film. The shooting will take place in India, London and Canada. Therefore I won't be in the country during July-August." Saumya has high hopes for her film career as she goes on to say, "I want to do some quality work, something that I can be proud of later. I want to be part of not just Bollywood but of world cinema."

Saumya truly has dreams to reach beyond sky. She says, "I want to feel what its like to rub shoulders with the best among the world. And if I have to dream, I'd rather dream big. So I'm not slowing down until I get my Oscar."

There's another reason for the charming girl to be happy as she has been declared the Best New Anchor (female) in a recently held award ceremony. She cannot contain herself as she says, "I'm really happy that we are being recognized and encouraged. It has surely added to my enthusiasm to be a part of this field."

She is also slated to continue as host for the second season of Dance India Dance. The actress was also seen playing sister of Kareena Kapoor in the hit Bollywoof flick, Jab We Met.

Kunal Verma, the protagonist of Star Plus' Tuj Sang Preet Lagai Sajna celebrates his birthday today, on July 6th.

We called up the birthday boy to know about his plans for the day. "I have just now finished with my shoot for the day; will now decide something after meeting my friends. We will definitely plan a party", quips the actor.

Kunal though has injured himself and this is what hampers him from doing extravagant things on his birthday. "I went to the beach yesterday with my friends. All of a sudden, a huge wave came at me with great force. Even though I turned my back to it, I got injured on the back and my feet. I am reeling in pain, so will figure out an easy way of celebration today", says he.

The actor however, got a big surprise today when his mom came to the sets. "I did not know that she is coming. It came as a surprise, I am very excited".

We just hope the young lad has a good time with friends on his birthday!!

Favourite perfume: Davidoff’s Cool Water is my all-time favourite.

Favourite brand: I’m not very choosy or particular about brands. I just like wearing random outfits.

Favourite shop: I often go to Girls Station, Vile Parle, and pick up clothes from there. I also go to Elco market in Bandra.

Favourite holiday destination: Maldives, Goa and Ratnagiri. These are my all-time favourite holiday destinations. I love the beaches in Maldives and getting into the water is my favourite source of enjoyment.

Favourite hangout: I don’t hangout but, yes, I go to my friend’s place and we enjoy each other’s company. We watch films, cook Maggie noodles and chat for hours. So I guess my hangout is at my friend’s house.

Clubbing experience: I have gone clubbing just twice so far. When I went to Hawaiian Shack, I was so bored just standing in a corner and dancing that I have not gone anywhere since. I would like to go dancing but I need space. I don’t understand how a person can enjoy herself on such a compressed dance floor.

Favourite TV shows: Presently, I’m following Bhaskar Bharti and Joyti. Initially, I used to follow Uttaran but now it has lost its charm.

Do you believe in love at first sight? No, I don’t believe in love at first sight.

Whom are you dating right now? No one, I don’t believe in dating and ending up nowhere. I believe in serious relationships. It must start with friendship.

Hottest TV actor: For me, ‘hot’ is not related to physical appearance but overall personality. Aamir Ali is so cute; you can say he is hot. Anyone who is cute is hot in my opinion. I don’t think there is any actress today on TV who is cute.

What about you? I am cute but I don’t consider myself hot at all.

What do you think about the show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar?
She is doing it to get media attention; I am sure it’s fake. I know she is a drama queen but what she is doing is not right at all. When I saw the show, I was like, ‘What shit they are showing!’ I am sure she is doing it only to be in the news. Even if she married someone, she’s going to break it off with him and make news again! It’s just a fake publicity stunt

Ganesiya refuses to marry Laali’s sister

Recently, we broke the news of Karan Mehra (Viruddh) portraying the role of Laali’s Ganesiya on the serial Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. Now, we reveal another interesting twist: Ganesiya, who meets Laali (Ratan Rajput) in the coming episodes, will be forced to marry her sister Rekha. But he refuses as he accepts only Laali as his wife.



A source says, “Presently, Ganesiya’s parents have come back and they want Laali’s sister Rekha to marry their son. Rekha is unaware of this and so is Ganesiya. In fact, he loves Laali and has already accepted her as his wife.”

The coming episodes will show that both Ganesiya’s and Laali’s parents forcefully try to convincing their kids (Ganesiya and Rekha) to marry but both of them refuse. The source adds, “On the other hand, Laali has already escaped from the haveli and has come back to her village. She will now run from there as well as Thakur’s men are looking for her. She will then bump into her childhood friend Shanichari, who has become a **********. And after she escapes from there, she meets her Ganesiya.”

We tried contacting Karan Mehra but he remained unavailable for comment. This sequence will be telecast next week. The show airs every Monday to Thursday at 9:30pm on Zee TV.

Jyoti’s Sandeep and Panchi to marry

Jyoti (NDTV Imagine) will certainly continue to keep its fans glued to their TV sets with its latest twist: Jyoti’s brother Sandeep (Varun Khandelwal) will marry his ex-girlfriend friend Panchi (Via Chaudhary).



A source says, “Panchi, who is in Sandeep’s college, used to be his girlfriend. When she realised that he was not serious about their relationship and about his career, they broke up. Then, after Jyoti married, Sandeep changed for the better and now, things will be sorted out between him and Panchi. They will marry soon.”

When contacted, Varun Khandelwal who plays Sandeep, says, “We haven’t been told anything yet. Presently, the track concentrates on Jyoti’s married life. After that it will shift to Sudha’s track. But yes, we’ve started shooting for sequences where Sandeep and Panchi start speaking to each other. So they might get married in the coming episodes.”

Presently on the show, Jyoti (Sneha Wagh) is married to Pankaj (Sarwar Ahuja) and the story revolves around their married life. Jyoti’s brother-in-law Pratik, who is in love with her sister Devika aka Sudha (Sriti Jha), will bring Devika to Jyoti.

Sandeep’s and Panchi’s wedding is estimated to take place in a month’s time. Jyoti airs every Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on NDTV Imagine.
