Sanjog Se Bani Sangini went on Zee with a lot of promise what with heartthrob Iqbal Khan returning to TV with this one. However, the show is in rough waters as the TRPs aren’t good enough.
A source says, “
Sangini has not been faring well on the
TRP charts for quite some time now. The channel has now given them an ultimatum to perform or perish. The show will now bring in a new track to improve its ratings. The show has just brought in a new character and taken a three-month progression where Pihu has turned positive all this in the effort to improve the ratings. Now the story will focus on Rudra and Gauri a bit more too. If the show fails to improve then it might be pulled off air in a few months.”
Iqbal and Binny Sharma (Gauri) remained unavailable to comment. Additi Gupta who plays Pihu says,"I have no idea at all. I havent heard of anything of this sort."
Sukesh Motwani, Fiction Head, Zee was unavailable too.
