All eyes are currently on Yash Raj Films making their foray on the small screen. With sources confirming that the production house has atleast four shows in the pipeline we bring you news on the first that will roll off reportedly by October.
The show, tentatively titled
Rishta.com, is a comedy and as the name suggests it is about a matrimonial organisation and how couples meet there. Though the show will have a fresh cast, Yash Raj loyalists like Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherji may be seen in guest appearances.
Divulges a source, “The shooting for this comedy show has already begun. The leads will all be new faces but big faces like SRK, Rani, Preity may be seen in cameo roles. The production house is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the best for this show as it is their maiden small screen venture. Moreover as of late YRF films has not had a successful run at the box office the small screen ventures will have to be well planned.”
The show in all probability will air on Sony.
We contacted YRF spokesperson who said, “YRF is working on various television concepts which are right now at different stages of development and as of now are untitled. We will make an announcement when everything is in place.”
We also contacted Sony fiction head Sanjay Upadhyay but he remained unavailable.
