Default Sony TV's "Dekh India Dekh" (Full Details)

After various comedy shows such as Comedy Circus, Kaante Ki Takkar, Chinchpokli to China and Comedy Circus 20-20, another stand up show titled Dekh India Dekh will soon launch.



The show will have gags, jokes, laughter and funny acts relating to characters seen in everyday life. It will have popular television actors enacting identifiable characters in different situations. This will be a 13-part series and will be shot, not on sets, but in real locations (such as a discotheque) to make the whole scenario life-like. The characters taken for inspiration will include Akbar-Birbal, Havaldar Kadam and Havaldar Kaale, Baiju-Bawra and Malti Manohar Joshi and Jignesh Shah. In each episode, these characters will be seen playing their parts in different situations.


According to the format of the show, there will be a studio audience. Shweta Seth will host the show. After each episode, the participants get to vote against each other according to the performances. The jodi who get the least number of votes will be in the danger zone. Finally, at the end of episode 8, the character/pair who are found to be in the danger zone the maximum number of times will be eliminated.

The cast includes Rajesh Kumar and Rajiv Nigam who will be seen as Akbar and Birbal respectively, Havaldar Kadam and Havaldar Kaale will be played by Ali Asgar and VIP, Baiju will be played by Krushna and Bawra will be played by Sudesh Lahiri and Malti Manohar Mishra and Jignesh Shah will be played by Gaurav Gera and Swapnil Joshi respectively.

Dekh India Dekh will commence from May 30 and will air every Saturday at 10pm on Sony TV.
