It’s has been almost 12 days since the start of the third season of IPL and with this arrived a new reality show called IPL Rockstar on Colors, which gave the set up of a cricket stadium but it failed to impress the viewers
It’s great to watch a reality show which is set up on the cricket stadium but with the same singing contest format and that’s it, without anything new in the show. The viewers are wondering why they are watching the show in the first place. Hard Kaur is best left behind a mike in a studio while the contestants are those old faces who had appeared on other singing reality shows. The comments from the judges are ‘
Aap badi cute hain’, ‘
Aaj aap damdar package hain and many such comments. It’s very difficult to pick what we have liked in the show…the concept of a singing contest in a cricket stadium before the match starts is worth…..but the makers have really forgotten their concept.
Further, we took a look at what we don’t like as audiences …the judges make weird and odd comments on the singers, sometimes the comments are even related to their physical appearance …..the singers are the same old people and they are taken from various reality shows. The song selection is not that impressive. Not only this, the new anchor Hard Kaur tries very hard to impress us in her new avatar of anchoring but she fails miserably.
Verdict: Not that impressive for the audiences who want innovative reality concepts.
