Create Financial Area

Use

In this step, you create your financial management (FM) areas. The financial management area is an organizational unit within accounting which structures the business organization from the perspective of Cash Budget Management and Funds Management.

Procedure

1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
Transaction code SM30 with customizing object V_FM01_A
IMG path Enterprise Structure ® Definition ® Financial Accounting ® Maintain Financial Management Area

2. On the Change View “Create FM areas”: Overview screen, choose New Entries to enter the following.
FM Area FM area text FM area Currency
BP01 Financial area BP01 USD

3. Choose Save.
