Imagine TV is at the threshold of launching a couple of shows to spruce up their prime time slot. We have already reported about two shows – Shakuntalam Telefilms’
Mere Gunaahon Ka Devta which is director turned producer Nikhil Sinha’s ambitious project.
Sinha’s show is likely to feature Balika Vadhu actor Vikrant Massey as the male lead and if sources are to be believed then the channel is keen on casting actress Tanvi Bhatia who was last seen in STAR Plus’
Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke as its leading lady.
Informs our source, “Imagine has informed Sakuntalam Telefilms that they would like to have Tanvi Bhatia on-board as the female protagonist. The production house has signed on rookie actor Ashish to play the male lead on the show. Bhatia was seen in BAG Films’ Mitwa on the show which also marked the debut of Mohit Malhotra of Splitsvilla fame. Ashish hasn’t done much work on television but has been into the acting world for quite sometime.”
When contacted, Bhatia refused to comment and producer Shyamasis Bhattacharya didn’t revert to our text message.
We hope the revived avatar of Imagine is able to see a rise in its GRPs also.
