Squad for two T20 internationals:
Mumbai: S Sreesanth marked a return to India's one-day and Twenty20 teams as selectors named the squads for the two T20 internationals and the first two ODIs against Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan were rested for India's two Twenty20 internationals which take place immediately after the Test series, while Ishant Sharma was rested for the first two one-dayers.
The selectors named a 15-member squad for the two T20 internationals as well as the first two ODIs of the five-match series, which concludes Sri Lanka's tour of India
In the one-day side, Sreesanth replaced Munaf Patel, who last played in India's one-day series against Australia, and leg-spinner Amit Mishra made way for left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha.
Tamil Nadu all-rounder R Ashwin earned a maiden call-up for an Indian national team after impressive performances for his Ranji Trophy team as well as in the IPL. Ashwin's Chennai Super Kings team-mate Sudeep Tyagi was also picked for T20 duties.
Bengal seamer Ashok Dinda was also called up while Baroda all-rounder Irfan Pathan was ignored. Praveen Kumar and Ravindra Jadeja were also left out of the T20 set-up.
