Default Upsell On CheckOut

Let's dissect the sales method. You might not be using your shopping cart to its full potential. If you analyze some of the more reputable online businesses, you will see that you have to go through a chain of questions throughout the checkout process.

You just want to complete your order. They'll transport you through a sum of pre-purchasing questions where you answer "no" to the merchandise they are attempting to sell to you. Ultimately, you get to approve your order.

These questions aren't placed there to annoy you; they are placed there because businesses have spent countless

hours assessing these strategies to make more money. As a seller, you should be assessing this as well. One of the things you can do to strengthen

this strategy is to do an "upsell" applying this method. Maybe you want to offer your product digitally for a price of $67 and then you want to do a hard copy upsell for $97. In your shopping cart, you can actually display

goods at different prices and people can choose which one they want. If they want the upgrade, you can give them that choice immediately. I have found that the majority of people like hard copy goods as opposed to digital versions.

Once customers have finished placing their order, take this opportunity to upsell them by advertising to them on your "Thank You" page. The majority of e-commerce sites just put up an easy "Thank You for Your Order." This is not an efficient use of your shopping cart,

especially if you want to upsell them. What you want to do for an effective upsell is put up an affiliate product, a product that you have that is of interest to them, or something else that your customer can buy. Why do this? The chances of achieving an upsell sale are greatly increased at this point because you already have your customer's credit card

information. An even better upsell strategy is to program your shopping cart to fill out their information automatically if they decide to purchase your upsell product. That is the basic premise of this upsell strategy.

Another thing I have found that works well is to have Joint Venture Partners that will actually pay you per

lead for each opt-ins you supply. You can implement your joint venture partnership upsell by doing, what marketers call a "By the way" sale. This primarily consists of giving your customers a special negotiated deal with your joint venture partner. It makes no difference what product you are trying to upsell. It could be anything from a software program to

a printed magazine. There are joint venture partnerships out there that will pay you a decent sum because half the work is already done for them. They are looking for people that are already in their specific market.

Do not take this suggestion lightly. It really works if it is done correctly. Add this to your task list and you will be able to take extra orders. It would be unwise not to take advantage of this tactic. Don't let this one go down the drain.
