Match-Fixing: ****, Asif and Amir named
New Delhi: The News of the World tabloid from London has named Pakistan Captain Salman ****, fast bowlers Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Aamir, and wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal, along with three others for being involved in a spot-fixing racket.
No players have been arrested so far but Pakistan's Team Manager Yawar Saeed has confirmed that the allegations are being investigated.
The anti-corruption unit has been asked to cooperate with investigators. The arrested fixer Majeed has alleged an Indian connection as well.
He says he is in touch with a party in India which pays him for giving information but does not take any names.
