Lovelorn Simi to find her mate in Karol Bagh
Sun seems to be shining bright on Simi (RJ Smriti Kalra of Karol Bagh who till now has been unfortunate when it comes to the matters of the heart. The girl who is all set to marry a spoilt brat Rajeev, still yearns to meet her dream man, is finally going to get her prayers answered in the form of Abhinav Taneja - a new entry in the show. Actor Neil Bhatt, of Arslaan fame, plays this character. And as per sources he will eventually fall in love with Simi.
According to the on-going track, Simi has agreed to marry Rajeev for her younger brother's sake, even after being aware that he is a character-less guy and has been once caught in a brothel. Simi's younger brother Anuj keeps asking her to get married as soon as possible since it's only after that can his wedding take place. Though she has been keeping quite by not unveiling Rajeev's dubious character but apparently her mother comes to know about Rajeev's truth through a family friend who exposes him to her. In addition to that Anita's family is not quiet upbeat about marrying her to Anuj as he hails from a middle class family and could not match up to their status. So when Anuj's mother tries to fix a date for the Roka ceremony, Anita's family starts dilly-dallying it thus sending feelers that they are not interested in the liaison.
Confirming the news, the actor says, "My character's name is Abhinav Taneja fondly called Abhi, who is Anita's brother. He has lived best part of his life abroad and has returned only recently to the rescue her sister who is facing certain issues from their father regarding her marriage. Anita wants to get married to Simi's brother Anuj and so has requested her brother to come down to India to bail her out of the tight situation."
"Abhi has always had difference of opinion with his father and never really got along well with him. He is an extrovert, chilled out and independent guy who is a doting brother. So far I have been told that my character would eventually fall in love with Simi", adds the actor.
One hopes that Neil's entry is enough a reason for Simi to refuse Rajeev.
