Creamy Soup
Soup is the best companion during the winter blues. It helps in curbing hunger, keeping the body warm and providing nutrients to fight cold. However, to avoid gaining weight, you should not include creamy soup in your diet. Creamy soup leads to an increase in the calorie count and results in gaining weight.

Sweets
The winter season is known for sweet delicacies. Sweets like gajar ka halwa, chikki, til laddo, gulab jamun and Christmas cake, are stacked with calories. Make sure that you do not overeat and keep mindful of the quantity. Excess of anything is bad and hence, you should avoid overconsumption.

Parathas
Warm parathas with ****er are the best thing that can happen to anyone ever. However, the consumption of ****er or ghee should be avoided at all costs. The presence of fat can lead to an increase in weight.

Beverages
Coffee and tea help in keeping the body warm in winters. However, you should not consume more than 2-3 cups a day. It is the best time to switch from the consumption of traditional coffee and tea to herbal tea like lemongrass tea, hibiscus tea, green tea, oolong tea etc. They are rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
