The coveted Leap of Faith Awards in association with Bajaj Hindustan Ltd and ET Now announced Balaji Joint MD, Ekta Kapoor, as Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. The jury comprised respected names in India Inc., headed by the Chairman of Marico Industries, Harsh Mariwala, supported by Renuka Ramnath, Prasoon Joshi, Deepak Ghaisas and Jerry Rao, among others. Kapoor was felicitated by Jitin Prasada (Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways) and Sunil Lulla (MD, Times TV Group) at a glittering event held at a South Mumbai hotel over the weekend. Kapoor thanked her parents and everyone at Balaji Telefilms, including Group CEO Puneet Kinra, CEO – Television Manuj Agarwal and CEO – Motion Pictures Tanuj Garg, who were present at the occasion. The Leap of Faith Awards are synonymous with celebrating the achievements of India’s young entrepreneur.

Eijaz Khan turns producer
Actor Eijaz Khan who has been missing on telly for a while, stepped into new profession. He turned producer with his best pal Aziz. The two scripted, edited and produced a film titled The Reality Show which explores the paranormal elements. Eijaz and Aziz were inspired after watching Paranormal Activity during their Dubai holiday. The film stars lesser known tv stars from a reality show Dadagiri and a Gladrags supermodel. Dil Se Diya Vachan goes off air
Filmfarm India's Dil Se Diya Vachan, which offered a different take on the relationship of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law will go off air in the first week of April. Hats Off Productions' upcoming show Choti Si Zindagi will replace DSDV in the 7pm slot. DSDV had famous names including Neena Gupta but failed to garner TRPs in the early evening slot. Now Neena Gupta’s decision to quit the show, due to her ill health was a bigger setback to the entire team and this led to the decision to end the show.

Yash Tonk, Pankaj Dheer in Jai Somnath After the success of Jhansi ki Rani, Zee TV brings yet another historical called Jai Somnath – Ek Prem Kahaani. The show produced by Indra Media is slated to be one of the biggest in Indian Television. The unit has already finished their first outdoor schedule in Ranthambore, Rajasthan. Yash Tonk and Pankaj Dheer would be playing an important role in this serial apart from Sadashiv Amrapurkar.

Holi special in Chhoti Bahu Zee TV and DJ's Creative Unit's Chhoti Bahu celebrated Holi on grand scale and we heard that Dev (Avinash Sachdev) had a long list of invitees. The onscreen couple of Star One's Geet Hui Sabse Parayi- Drashti Dhami and Gurmeet Choudhary and the off screen pair of Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij will sizzle in the Holi Special. Geet and Maan would perform on Tip tip barsa paani while Jay and Mahhi Vij would perform on Zor Ka Jhatka!
