• 'Comedy Stars Dhamaka' to premiere on January 23: Comedy Stars will soon get an update. The makers of the show are launching a brand new season of the comedy show titled as 'Comedy Stars Dhamaka' which is set to launch on January 23.

Host:

• As reported earlier, Deepika Pilli of Dhee fame will host the upcoming season. The latest teaser of the show that surfaced online gave a peek into the extravaganza of the second edition.
  
• Sreemukhi and Varshini Sounderrajan have hosted the previous season.

Judges:

• Nagababu Konidela, one of the judges, can be seen stating, "If a virus can have so many variations, imagine the versatility of entertainment this comedy show can dish out." Interestingly, comedian RP of Jabardasth fame, who was on a sabbatical due to his directorial debut, is also seen in the teaser.
• Sekhar Master will judge 'Comedy Stars Dhamaka'.
• Sridevi Vijaykumar, who initially judged the show with choreographer-TV judge Sekhar, was replaced towards the end of the season.
  

Contestants, Celebs:

• Abhinaya Krishna, who has entertained in the popular show Jabardasth, has also recently joined Comedy Stars.
• Deepika, on the other hand, is a familiar face to the telly audiences. She shot to fame with her stint in the TV series Dhee and also her other TV appearances. Deepika is quite popular on social media with over 2M followers on Instagram.

About the Show:

• 'Comedy Stars' was launched in January, 2021, along with Start Music 3, with Varshini Sounderrajan as the host and Sekhar, Sridevi Vijaykumar as the judges.
  
• The show is bankrolled by ace anchor-TV producer Ohmkar. He is currently hosting the popular couple-based reality show Ishmart Jodi season 2.
  
• 'Comedy Stars' has managed to rake in TVRs in its afternoon slot on Sundays and sustain its viewership ever since its launch, TRP report suggests.
