Ekta angry at Pavitra Rishta team

Delighting its viewers with an extravaganza on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Zee TV's popular soap Pavitra Rishta has lined up a 2-hour Ganesha Special packed with mind-blowing dance acts by the channel's most popular stars at 8 pm on Sunday, 19th September. While the rehearsals and the shoot for this mega-episode were still on, producer Ekta Kapoor decided to pay a surprise visit to check on what's brewing on the sets!

To her complete shock, Ekta discovered that her team was busy making her lead protagonists Manav and Archana rehearse for a"dance sequence" together even though the current track of the show sees the two facing difficult times particularly with Manav getting married to Shravani and Archana tying the knot with Jaywant!

An upset, Ekta didn’t mince words while expressing her displeasure: "There has to be a thread of continuity and consistency in the plot even if a festive celebration comes up. The current track shows a growing distance between Manav and Archana. I am not about to make things frivolous by throwing in a dance number for the heck of it!"

Her team countered that they had factored in a dance act with Manav and Archana based on a strong public demand to see the duo together. Moreover, actors Sushant Rajput and Ankita Lokhande had spent nearly three days getting the intricate choreography right!

On getting many pleas from the team to retain the act and give the junta what they want, Ekta devised a smarter plan!!! Manav and Archana dancing in reality is a problem, right? Well, they can always dance in a dream! So, you still get to see your favorite TV jodi shaking a leg on screen. Actor’s bhi happy, junta bhi happy aur Producer Ekta bhi happy! Way to go, girl!

Meet Chulbul Pandey of TV!

Imagine TV's new show Gunahon ka Devta went on air, there's been speculation around the hero of the show — Avdesh Singh Thakur. There's a feeling that Avdesh's character has a strong resemblance to Chulbul Pandey, Salman Khan's character from Dabangg! The only difference being that Chulbul Pandey is a corrupt cop, while Avdesh is a criminal with a heart of gold. Both characters in turn being inspired by the Robinhood philosophy!

Special screening for Shahid?

The popular sitcom Khichdi has been made into a film and veteran actress Supriya Pathak aka Hansa bhabhi is part of it. The actress, who is the mom of Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor, is excited to show her movie to Shahid and her husband Pankaj Kapoor. Supriya cannot wait to show the film version of Khichdi to her hubby director-actor Pankaj Kapoor and son Shahid. In fact, she has requested the producer of the movie JD Majethia to organize a special screening of the movie for both of them.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan badly injured!

In an unfortunate accident, Rahat Sahab, fell on his back and is sevelry injured for around a week now. His foot slipped from a flight of stairs and is still recuperating. His chair of judge on Star Plus’ Amul Chhote Ustaad- Do Deshon Ki Ek Awaaz is being taken over by Shaan for this Saturday’s episode. Another notable singer Shankar Mahadevan will be seen in the Sunday episode. We wonder when we will be able to see the jovial judge on the show. We hope the kids’ favorite Rahat Sahab recovers as soon as possible and we get to hear him on the show next week.

Daredevil Iqbal Khan

Celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi with a Dance Dhamaka in Pavitra Rishta on Sunday, Zee TV has roped in some of its most popular stars to shake a leg and raise a toast to the elephant-god! At the recent shoot for this episode, actor Iqbal Khan is said to have wowed the entire unit with his daredevil attitude while performing a rather risky stunt.
Dancing to the song Kurbaan Hua, Iqbal is seen setting his arms ablaze in the middle of the act with merely a pair of protective gloves saving his skin from third-degree burns. Having already done a brilliant job with the first take, Iqbal Khan was busy guzzling down a gallon of water after all the heat exposure. At this point, the director of the shoot, unsure if he should ask, apologetically requested for a second take for technical purposes. Without batting an eyelid, Iqbal got up and donned the gloves amidst roaring applause from the unitwallahs.

Iqbal said: "A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. If everybody decides to throw a tantrum, real work will never get done. If the director believes a second take is required, I consider it my job to deliver, irrespective of whether it’s a comfortable shot or not." That’s the spirit, Iqbal! Looking every bit the lady-****er he is in a vest and jeans, this rockstar is said to have packed in a powerhouse performance for Pavitra Rishta’s Ganpati Bappa Ka Pujan. Don’t miss this for the world!

Sugandha Mishra’s crush on John

Sugandha Mishra, who first shot to fame as a comedy artist on Indian television is now one of the top 14 contestants of Zee TV’s popular Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstars. This talented young classical vocalist from Vishal Shekar’s Hit Squad has taken many a stage by storm as she delivers one brilliant performance after another.

However, during a recent filming of an upcoming episode of the show, Sugandha could not help but gush when she came face to face with the charming John Abraham who made an appearance as a guest judge.After her heartfelt performance of ‘Hai Rama ye kya hua’ from Rangeela, Sugandha could not help but state her long standing crush on Bollywood’s favourite blue eyed boy & requested him to dance with her for which the ever charming actor gladly obliged .John joined Sugandha on stage for a short jig to ‘Maa da laadla’.

The actor then turned around and caught her by surprise when he bestowed her with a peck on the cheek declaring “actually sach batau toh mujhe bhi aap par ek chota sa crush hai!” Sugandha is surely one lucky girl!
