On November 22, 2009, less than one month after the couple's official engagement ceremony, the groom dressed in a gold and scarlet sherwani by Shantanu and Nikhil, rode through the streets in a horse-drawn chariot toward the Bawa Villa in Khandala, where the couple exchange wedding vows.
