Story, TV Show is about, Plot:

• Gulaal is a young girl from Rashipur, Kutch. She has a zest for life and has a God gifted unique ability to unearth water in the arid lands.
  
• The story goes as Talsagra, a neighbouring village of Rashipur has been hit by a harsh drought. Vasant, the protagonist from Talsagra learns about Gulaal’s talent and in order to end the woes of his people, he setsout in search of Gulaal. When Vasant recounts the situation of Talsagra, Gulaal against the will of the entire clan decides to go to Talsagra for the sake of humanity.
  
• Gulaal is finally able to end the hostility of the two villages and brings joy in the life of hundreds. Eventually, the love between Vasant and Gulaal blossoms and both tie the holy knot. But fate has something stored for her. Her happiness is short-lived when Vasant dies making way for all the grief and turmoil in her life!
  
• It is captivating to see Gulaal fighting in full spirit, making intelligent choices and taking over the responsibilities of her family. Since Vasant has died she had decided to make his dreams/responsibility come true,Inorder for her to do that she is forced to marry Dushant or Kasear. She marries Kesear and Dushant soon realized that ****ing Vasant was not right and he has decided to be come a better person now. Later Kasear finds out that Dushant has ****ed Vasant and acts very reblious and is sent to boarding school for his well-being. Talli, a girl whos parents died at young age and Sudha decided to adopt her, had now grown-up and is dreaming of marrying Kesear since thier childhood friendship. Kesear comes home from boarding school and he still has his grudge from childhood and behaves very rude to Dushant and Gulaal even though he doesn't want to but he believes this is right. Kesear still loves Gulaal while Gulaal still thinks of Kesear as that 9 year-old kid and Talli loves Kesear.

Challenge:

• The real challenge for Zindgi Ka Har Rang..Gulaal Ke Sang, was to replace the most successful show ‘Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai’ in the 9 pm slot. Gulaal’s marvellous cinematography is its high point.

Plot at the Point

• Gulaal's young husband Kesar comes back from boarding school. Talli, Kesar's childhood friend, is in love with him but he is in love with Gulaal. Kesar, however, cannot forgive Gulaal as he remembers the ****** of his elder brother Vasant.

‘Zindagi Ka Har Rang...Gulaal’ has been known to the viewers as Gulaal. The theme was created by Sphere Origins Multivision Private Limited. It has been written in coordination by Prakash Kapadia, Kapil Bavad, Punit Shukla, and Rajesh Dubey.

Siddharth Sengupta has directed the serial. The opening theme of the play begins as "Gulaal". The music was composed and sung by the legendary musician Shankar Mahadevan. This Hindi serial ran to a total of 212 episodes. Producer of the episodes were Sunjoy Waddhwa and Comal Sunjoy from the production company, Sphere Origins Multivision Private Limited.

Cinematography for the serial was made by Sanjay K Memane& Anil Katke in a High Definition Multi-camera setup. The total running time was 23 Minutes excluding the commercial breaks from the sponsors.

The starters in the show include Manasi Parekh Gohil as Gulaal, Neil Bhatt as Kesar, Falguni Dave called Jamuna, Pankaj Tripathi as Gigaji, Sushant Singh leads as Dushyant, Helly Shah marked as Talli, Rahil Azam cast as Vasant, Shakti Singh playing as Revjibhai, Manas Shah popularly was known as Tarul Swami leading as Yogesh, Aditi Tailang swagging as Reva, Manoj Joshi would be seen as Motabha, Natasha Rastogi looked as Paanabaa, NehaKaul as Sudha, Aarav Chaudhary as Raman, and Shrenu Parikh as Rupa.The show has won many laurels.

Awards:

• Some of them include ITA Awards in the year 2011 for Best Teleplay conferred on Prakash Kapadia, Best Videography for Sanjay Memane, Best Costumes for Tara Desai. This was the only serial to obtain so many awards in the ITA. In the Year 2012, the Indian Telly Awards for the Best Director went to Siddharth Sengupta. The 2011 nominations for the show includes Star Parivaar Awards for Favourite Naya Sadasya – Female for Manasi Parekh Gohil, Favourite Dushman for Sushant Singh. In the same year, it was nominated for Star Guild Awards for Best Writer to Prakash Kapadia.
• In the year 2012, the Indian Telly Awards for Best Negative Role went to Actor Sushant Singh; Best Art Direction went to Rajat Poddar; Best Screenplay went to Prakash Kapadia and Best Videography went to Sanjay Memane. The nominations in the year extended to Star Guild Awards for the Best Director to Siddharth Sengupta.it was telecasted between 15 November 2010 – 28 August 2011 in STAR Plus as well as in STAR Utsav. Star Cast and characters:

• Manasi Parekh Gulaal is a bright 24-year-old residing in Rashipur, with a special gift of sensing water beneath the sand in an arid desert. Unfazed by the protests from the people of Rashipur and leaving behind her family and friends, Gulaal sets out to help the residents of Talsagra find water.
• Rahil Azam - Vasant, a resident of Talasagra. He is very positive and the guy has a good reputation in the village as his father is the Mukhiya. He loves kids and protects the women community and also speaks for truth. He is in love with Gulaal.
  Manoj Joshi - He plays the character of Motabha, father of Vasant. He is the Sarpanch of Talsagra and is well known for his rationality and generosity.
• Sushant Singh - Dushyant, the cousin of Vasant and has a grey shade in him. He falls for Gulaal’s beauty and has an eye for her. He ****s Vasant but later changes And Is A loving Man
  
• Aditi Tailang - Vasant''s sister. She is chirpy and full of life. She has courage which helps her fight her dark past.

Star Plus with Sphere Origins brings its new show 'Gulaal Ke Sang' from next week.

Star Plus with Sphere Origins is all set to take off its new show Gulaal Ke Sang, with a concept that was kept very cagey till now.



The show that has a backdrop set in Kutch tells us the story of Gulaal, a 24 year old specially gifted girl, who is befuddled in the rivalry between her village Rashipur and Talsagra. The girl, who has the gift to sense water in the arid desert, takes the bold step of going against her family to help the villagers of Talasagra to find water.

About the role Mansi Parekh says "The role is really challenging as Gulaal is a girl who listens her mind and does whatever she thinks is right. She takes the tough decisions to step against her family to save an entire village which is in enmity with her own."

Her love interest in the show is Rahil Azam who plays the character of Vasant, a resident of Talasagra. Speaking about his role Rahil says "The role is very positive and the guy has a good reputation in the village as his father is the Mukhiya. He loves kids and protects the women community and also speaks for truth."

The show has a talented cast that includes Manoj Joshi who plays the character of Motabha, father of Vasant and Natasha who plays the character of Paanbha, Vasant's mother. Sushant Singh who was last seen in Sony TV's Viruddh will be seen essaying the role of Dushyant, the cousin of Vasant and has a grey shade in him. Pankaj Tripathi will be seen in the role of Gigaji, who too has a grey shade. Getting out of her sweet innocent character 'Bhakti' in Hamari Devrani, Krishna Gokani will be seen with a completely different look and attitude in Gulaal.

The show is indeed a fresh venture for Star Plus with its concept and outlook and the team is all set to go on air. The show will be telecast from 15 November, Monday to Friday 9:00 pm in Star Plus.

I don't sleep till late. I generally get up at 8:00. AM daily.

On Sundays, I see to it that I relax, read books and complete the work that I have scheduled for the day.

Home-made food.

Two Sundays in a week with a regular interval.

I will do whatever I feel on the day, and I usually have a hold on time on that day.

I would rename the day as funday.

Actually I never go out partying till late, so Saturdays are never exciting for me. I will always prefer Sundays more that Saturday.

Star Plus and Sphere Origins' Gulaal to see an unexpected twist in the coming episodes..

Star Plus and Sphere Origins' Gulaal in its latest episode saw the unfortunate fall of Gulaal's father post the revelation of the identity of Lakha who is Vasant (Rahil Azam) in real.

Adding further on the track our source says "The last episode showed the ill-fated incident where Gulaal's (Mansi Parekh) father meets with an accident. Tonight's episode will see Lakha saving him by donating blood. After this development, he asks Gulaal (Mansi Parekh) to save his village from drought as a return help, which she agrees to do."

We hear that there is a twist coming for the audience!! Our source says "When she reaches the village the power of Gulaal, that is her capability to detect water underground with her payal on proves fake. When she goes to Rasipur to help the village get out of the drought, it is seen that Gulaal aka Neerja is unable to detect water, i.e. the magical movement of the anklets by its own turns out to be a bogus."

What's the twist behind this? What happens in the village that proves the sixth sense of Gulaal to be fake? That is something the viewers have to watch to be revealed.

Gulaal's effort pays dividends as Talsagra gets water after a big struggle that continues for ten days..

The efforts of Gulaal (Mansi Parekh), the protagonist of Star Plus' new show, will finally bear fruit as she unearths water in the drought-stricken area of Talsagra. But we hear that this success comes after Gulaal and Vasant (Rahil Azam) go thro' a lot of hardships, as they face the wrath of the villagers who feel that she is fake.

Yesterday's episode saw Gulaal get to the area where there is water underneath. Her anklet's sound indicates that there is water in that place, and this very thought excites the villagers. However, when they start digging at that particular area, they are a bit disappointed that they do not see water.

Our source tells us, "Gulaal has sensed water in a particular place, but even after they dig deep, they do not find water. They dig the place for eight full days, but the sight of water prevailing there is not found. This forces the villagers to doubt on Gulaal's ability to find water beneath and feel that her powers are fake".

However the determined Gulaal stays put to her word and tells all the villagers that she will not take food and water till she derives water in the area. "The villagers however refuse to help, and it is Gulaal and Vasant who continue with the digging. They dig for another three full days with a hope of getting water. And finally Talsagra gets bountiful of water, and this marks the success of Gulaal and Vasant. The villagers thank Gulaal and appreciate her efforts and rejoice a lot on getting water", adds our source.

We hear that soon after Talasgra gets water, villagers arrange for a celebration specially dedicated for Gulaal. We contacted Mansi Parekh aka Gulaal to know more on the buzz but she refused to comment on the same. Get to see Gulaal's inspired fight in bringing water to Talsagra..

Maha episode of Star Plus' Gulaal to reveal the man with whom Gulaal's marriage had been fixed years back...

Star Plus and Sphere Origin's recently launched show Gulaal will see its first Maha Episode on 18th December wherein the shocking truth about the guy with whom Gulaal's (Mansi Parekh) wedding had been fixed in childhood will get revealed.

As per the track, Gulaal has declared her love for Vasant (Rahil Azam) to her father, but her father is against the relationship as the family has already promised to wed Gulaal to a certain person.

The coming maha episode will see an electrifying twist where Gulaal will come face to face with the guy with whom her marriage had been fixed when she was a child. And the latest we hear is that the guy is none other than the one who was seen in the Devi's Temple doing Puja in the robe of a woman. The person is an ardent devotee of Mata and is of the trans-gender. He dresses up as a woman when he is serving the deity. The challenging character of the guy is essayed by Ujjwal Chopra who was last seen in Zee TV's Shree...

A source says, "In the Maha episode, Gulaal will come to know that the guy who she had met at the temple is the one with whom her marriage was fixed. That will be a major shock which Gulaal will face." We too hear that after knowing the truth, the show will move to a flashback sequence and will reveal why the guy has turned to a kinnar.

Our source states, "Kinnar's father would have ill-treated a certain group of people of trans-gender in the temple, and that is the reason why the kinnars had cursed his father saying that his son will be like them and will become a devotee of God. Once this track opens up, the marriage of Gulaal and Vasant might be on the cards".

We contacted Gulaal who says, "Saturday's maha episode will be much more shocking for Gulaal as she will come to know with whom her marriage was fixed in childhood. But I can't reveal much on it as you have to watch the show for the same".

Star Plus' Gulaal heads for a major turning point in coming Monday's episode wherein Vasant will be pronounced dead..

Star Plus' Gulaal will see a major highpoint in the coming Monday's episode when Vasant (Rahil Azam) will meet with a fatal accident and will be pronounced dead.

Gulaal's (Mansi Parekh) marital life will not be a bed of roses anymore as the Guruji will predict that Gulaal's husband will soon die and this will open a path for her second marriage.

According to our source, "In tonight's episode, Guruji will reveal the truth to Gulaal that Vasant's life is in danger and that he will probably not overcome the obstacle. However, Guruji advises Gulaal to do some special puja which she starts doing diligently. Gulaal has another problem in hand and that is the obsessed love that Dushyant (Sushant Singh) has towards her. She takes ill and there will be tension in the house with the doctor getting summoned. In order to keep Vasant along with her, she asks him to take her for a vacation. They both go out to spend some quality time but that is when the major mishap is supposed to happen".

We hear that Monday's episode will bring in some major drama with Vasant meeting with an accident. Though Vasant's body will not be got, all presume that it is highly impossible for him to have survived. Gulaal will be seen chanting the Maha Mrityunjay Jap to save her husband.

As a customary ritual, the future of the young widow Gulaal is being planned and that is when she is left with two options. She can either go back to her maayka or will get to marry one of the brothers of Vasant and stay in the same house as the daughter-in-law of the house. Star Plus' Gulaal will focus on the hospital sequences wherein the lady protagonist is pronounced to be in a critical condition..

Yesterday's episode of Gulaal on Star Plus saw the obsessive lover Dushyant (Sushant Singh) taking the drastic step of throwing his own brother Vasant (Rahil Azam) off the bridge!!

In a split second, Dushyant decides to **** his already wounded brother so that he could proclaim Gulaal's (Mansi Parekh) love.

Tonight's episode will focus on the hospital sequence where all the three, Gulaal, Motaba (Manoj Joshi) and Paanba are admitted.

Our source states, "Dushyant's obsessive nature has turned him dark, and soon after throwing his brother into water he calls for an ambulance to take Gulaal and the rest of the family to the hospital. Dushyant will hide this secret within himself, and will tell Gulaal's parents that Vasant has gone missing after the accident and he could not find him at the accident spot. He tells them that when he landed at the place, he could see only Motaba, Paanba and Gulaal and saved them".

There will be few tension-filled moments in the hospital as the doctors say that Gulaal has suffered a major head injury. Even Motaba and Paanba have not got back to their conscious state.

When contacted, Mansi Parekh aka Gulaal tells us, "Yes, Gulaal is admitted in hospital and is critical. The whole village is praying for her recovery and the mood is quite tense right now. Gulaal's parents have decided not to tell Gulaal about Vasant going missing after the accident".

Sushant Singh feels good with a different layer of Dushyant's character coming to the fore. "Dushyant's obsession for Gulaal has turned wild and he ****ed his brother without a second thought. However, he will have this guilt in his heart forever. As an actor, it feels nice to be portraying a character with lot many layers in it; Dushyant is not the typical two dimensional guy who is shown to be good in the beginning and later turns out to be very bad. Here, we see the growth in his character from a simple guy to a lover turning obsessive, and now he has completely lost his mind and has become a ******er".

The presumed death of Vasant brings the track of 'Diyar Vatu' to the fore. The ratings of Gulaal has been mediocre from the start, and the channel and production house expect the ratings to rise high once Gulaal is forced with the option of marrying her husband's brother..

As Star Plus' Gulaal readies for its major highpoint of Deeyar Vatu, we wonder if this track can help the show regain its lost TRP....

Star Plus and Sphere Origin's Gulaal has reached a dramatic highpoint wherein after Vasant's (Rahil Azam) death, Gulaal (Mansi Parekh) is left stranded and has to make the decision of her life, that is whether to leave Talsagra as a widow, or to stay back to protect her family and nurture her husband's dream...

The fact however, is that though the show is moving towards its major concept of Deeyarvatu, the show on the whole has been faring very badly on the ratings chart. Gulaal had not opened to great TRPs, but was faring on an average basis with a TRP hovering near the 3 mark. But the death of Vasant has indeed brought down the ratings, which now stands at a dismal 2 mark.

The slow story post Vasant's death has only left the audience to wonder whether there is anything more left in the show!! Even the Maha Episodes shown recently have not been able to get a decent rating, and this is certainly a matter of concern for the channel and production house!!

At this stage comes the Deeyar vatu, the custom wherein a woman is encouraged to marry her brother-in-law (devar) after the death of her husband. With Motabha ill and Paanba tending to him, there is nobody to protect Vasant's youngest brother Kesar. Now Gulaal has a decision to make, and will stay back to protect the family and gets with the tradition of Deeyarvatu and marries her 10 years old brother in law.

The question that prevails now is - Will this track really work? Can it have a stong connect with the viewers? We contacted Mansi Parekh who confirmed that the Deeyar vatu is indeed happening, in which Gulaal choses to marry Kesar and not the evil Dushyant (Sushant Singh).

Talking about the dipping TRPs Mansi says, "Apparently viewers wanted to see more of Rahil Azam on the show as he is a fine actor. The show has lost on TRP's after his death, but I am sure that with this twist, our ratings will definitely grow up." Like Mansi, we also hope that this twist works in favour of the show!! But will it really happen? Only time will tell...

Krishna Gokani who presently essays the role of Zankhana in Star Plus' Gulaal will be the protagonist of Imagine and BAG Films' upcoming show..

Krishna Gokani, who earlier played the protagonist in Star Plus' Hamari Devrani has bagged her next lead role in Imagine and BAG Films' upcoming show, Luteri Dulhann.

As per latest reports, Priyal Gor who had been finalized to play the title role has been replaced, and it is Krishna who has been roped in now.

Our source states, "The shoot for the BAG show was to start few days back, but the channel and production house postponed things as they were looking for options beyond Priyal Gor. Krishna Gokani who is presently seen in Sphere Origin's show on Star Plus, Gulaal fit the bill of the protagonist perfectly and she has been finalized. Krishna actually was present in the first day of shoot that took place yesterday".

We hear that Krishna has apparently worked out things with Sphere Origin and has left Gulaal. Luteri Dulhann will have a very crisp never-seen-before concept and is expected to go on air sometime in March. The male lead for the show has not been finalized yet.

When contacted, Krishna Gokani refused to comment. We could not get thro' to Priyal Gor. Raakesh Paswan, the Writer of Luteri Dulhann said, "I can only tell you that this show is for viewers who have been craving to see something different. This is an experimental concept which has not been touched upon on television so far. This is basically a film script which I am using for television. I cannot comment on the cast, but I can assure you that the show will have very good actors".

TellyBuzz has already reported that the likes of Smita Singh, Yajuvendra Singh and Sitaram Panchal will be essaying important roles in the show.. We contacted Saurabh Tewari, Head of Programming – Fiction, Imagine TV but he remained unavailable.

Sparsh Khanchandani to play the spirited girl Talli in Star Plus' Gulaal..

Sparsh Khanchandani, who came into the limelight as the small Ichcha in COLORS' Uttaran is back to fiction after her stint in reality shows!! After having a great association with Star Plus in Zara Nachke Dikha, the little girl will now be seen in the prime time show, Gulaal.

Our source states, "Sparsh's entry will bring in a fresh feel to the story line. She plays the little girl Talli, a city bred girl who comes to Talsagra to stay. Her father is a teacher and they come to stay in Talsagra as he has been shifted to the school in the village. Talli is a girl with lots of attitude, is pampered and appears to be more mature than her age. As she does not have a mother, she takes care of the house pretty well. She will soon develop a friendship with Kesuda, and will also impress Gulaal (Mansi Parekh).

When contacted, Sparsh's mother told us, "Yes, she is shooting for Gulaal. It is a very interesting character; she is a very modern child and looks beautiful". The entry of Talli will be aired in tonight's episode of Gulaal..

Kanika Maheshwari aka Sasha of Geet Hui Sabse ParayiStar Plus' Gulaal... returns as Surili in

Kanika Maheshwari, last seen in Star One's Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, will now play a cameo role in Star Plus' Gulaal.

A little birdie tells Tellybuzz, "Kanika Maheshwari was off to Delhi as she had a time gap before she started shooting for Sumeet Mittal's new show Diya Bati, but the channel has called her down from Delhi to play an important role in Gulaal".

Talking about her character in Gulaal, our source reveals, "Kanika would be essaying a character called Surili, who is Raman's love interest. Raman's wife, who is always upset with her husband's behavior towards her, will see Surili's picture in his cupboard and will tear it down as she gets to know about their relation. Eventually Surili will re surface in the life of Raman to provide more twists and turns."

Kanika has signed the contract and is expected to start shooting for the show within 2-3 days. We contacted Kanika Maheshwari and she confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I will be essaying Surili in the show but I am clueless about my character, so can't divulge anything on it."

Muskaan Uppal:
You have not got a chance to play Holi in Chhoti Bahu as the leap has taken place, how do you feel?
Actually I am very happy that even though there was the leap, we shot a separate sequence for Holi where Dev and I are playing Holi where we danced for the song Piya Those Naina Laage Re.

From the cast of Chhoti Bahu who would you like to play Holi with? I want to play Holi with Dev.

As Meethi what are your plans for Holi in the sets of Sasural Genda Phool?
I played Holi with the entire family where I sprayed water on everyone with the Pichkaari and played the dhol as well.

What would you like to eat during Holi?
I like to drink cold during Holi.

How is Muskaan planning to celebrate Holi this year? This year I will be playing Holi with my sister where I want to spray water on her, hit her with water balloons filled with coloured water. I am going to have a lot of fun.

Actually I like all colours, but the colours with which I like to play Holi is Saffron, White and Green, Tricolours of Indian flag. But since white is not available, I opt for blue.

This is going to be your first Holi with the crew of Gutur Gu; are you planning to be notorious with someone?
I am going to have lot of Masti on Holi; apart from this, I celebrated my second Holi with Colors and I felt like I am on top of the world because I had a lot of fun in the celebration.

Did Jay anytime get hit by a water-balloon or a water gun?
Actually I had got pushed into the water well once. There was a well there from where we used to fill the pichkaari and it so happened that I pushed one of my friends into water when he had gone there to fill up the pichkaari. That was a tit for tat that I did because he had pushed me earlier.

How are you planning to celebrate Holi this year?
I am planning to celebrate with my cousins and my elder sister where I am going to have great fun with all of them.

You have been fighting with Kesar in Gulaal; are you planning to take revenge on Holi?
No because he is also very 'bhola' like me.

If you would want to throw a water-balloon from Gulaal who would that be?
That would be Neeti

If you would like to play Holi with one person from Gulaal who would that be and why?
Mansi Parekh, because I am not so close to her on the sets and hence I would want to know her better.

How are you planning to celebrate Holi this year?
I have a lot of cousins who will be coming to my society and I will be playing Holi with them.

If you want to put colors on any of the cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, who will it be?
If I get a chance, I would like to put colour on everybody because, I believe that Holi is for everybody.

The best holi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah sets?
The Holi we had last year has been the best Holi on the sets of Taarak Mehta, because they had made a bathtub full of water only for the kids and we five kids had great fun pushing and splashing water on each other.

How do you celebrate Holi normally?
I do not like to play Holi with colours, but only with plain water. So I always make sure that I play it very carefully.

What are the plans this year?
This year I think I will be celebrating Holi again on the sets Taarak Mehta and I am looking forward for it.

If Phulwa is at her notorious best, what are the pranks she will play on her co actors in the show?
I am going to sit on a tree and throw cow dung on Lakhiya bhaiya, but I have a wish to play pranks on everybody and all my co-stars.

If I ask you to shoot a person on the sets with a water gun, who will it be and why?
I would like to shoot Divya with the water gun, because she is my friend.

How does little Jannat celebrate Holi every year?
I play with my parents where we throw water balloons and shoot with water guns. But I use herbal colours and I would also advice everybody to use herbal colours as it is safe and nobody will get hurt or bear a skin damage by using them.

What are your plans for this year?
This year I will be celebrating Holi with my entire unit of Phulwa including Siddarth Tewary, but I have a dream to play Holi with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as I love them both a lot.

If I ask you to surprise a person from Gulaal by putting Gulaal on them, who will that be and why?
My sister Devika and especially on her hair, because she is very particular about it.

How are you planning to make Holi more colourful than the name of the show?
I am going to be there on the sets playing Holi with my parents and my sister.

If I ask you to fill the sets with different colours of Gulaal which all will you choose?
That would be red, blue, yellow and the rest will be water.

What is the most notorious Holi that Ali has played?
I don't think I am that much a notorious boy.

This year I am going to play Holi on the sets and I will make sure that all are coloured including the Spot dada.

Star Plus' Gulaal hopes to better its ratings with its post leap story in April..

Star Plus and Sphere Origins' Gulaal will take a 10 year leap in April. This leap has been on the cards from the time Gulaal (Mansi Parekh) married her 10 year old devar Kesar!!

A little birdie tells us, "The team is planning the next phase of the story right now. Casting is on for the introduction of the post leap characters. Initially, there were plans to show Rahil Azam as the grown-up Kesar. However, this development might not happen now as the production house is planning to cast a new face to play the grown-up Kesar. The character of Talli, presently played by Sparsh Khanchandani will also be part of the post leap story".

We hear that there is a faint possibility of Rahil Azam coming back as Vasant. However, this will again depend on the ratings of Gulaal. The leap was to happen in the last week of March, but it has now been pushed to April.

Our source tells us, "The show has got stagnant at the 2 TVR mark and has not been showing any sign of improvement. With lot many shows being planned on Star Plus, Gulaal is one of the shows that has been placed under the scanner. If things do not fall in place, Gulaal might be shown the door post IPL. Looking at all this, one can clearly say that the leap might just be the last chance that the show gets to stake its claim".

We tried contacting Rahil Azam to know whether he has been approached for a comeback as Vasant, but we could not get thro' to him. We tried contacting Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa for a confirmation on the leap, but he too remained unavailable. However, a reliable source connected to the show did confirm that the leap is surely coming!!

Neil Bhatt will enter Star Plus' Gulaal post the 8 year leap as the grown up Kesar...

Star Plus' Gulaal, as reported by TellyBuzz took a 8 year leap in yesterday's episode!!

The grown up Talli is played by new face Helly Shah. She is madly in love with Kesar who is living in a hostel. Kesar has been upset with Gulaal (Manasi Parekh) for all these years.

In Monday's episode, the young lad Kesar will be introduced to the viewers.. Neil Bhatt who was last seen in Zee TV's 12/24 Karol Bagh will essay the role.

Our source states, "Helly Shah is a new face who was casted by Sagar Pictures for their upcoming show. However, when the show got s****ped Helly was auditioned by Sphere Origin for Gulaal. Neil Bhatt has been roped in to play the role of Kesar".

When contacted, Neil Bhatt confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I will be playing Kesar after the leap. He is a mature and fearless guy who is very lively in nature. He has grown up having a mixed reaction for Gulaal. While on one hand, he is thankful to her for making him a responsible man, he is still upset that she had forgiven Dushyant (Sushant Singh) for all his bad deeds".
