Agree with all things mentioned. One small tip I'd like to add for older people is to carefully examine the cookware they use. Older non-stick cookware (still prevalent in most homes are teflon coated, which is known to leach harmful chemcials in foods if certain temperature limits are breached while cooking). This is linked to illnesses like asthama, head ache and body ache to as severe as various types of cancers. Even if the manufcaturers claim the threshold temperaures to be above the "usual" cooking temperaratures, why would someone be willing to take that risk if there are safer (and sometimes cheaper) options out there!
