Shilpa is best known for her role as Ganga in the popular soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She later participated in the reality shows Nach Baliye and Pati Patni Aur Woh.

Talking about her experience in Survivors she says, "It was really scary to see a big rat sitting on my neck in the middle of the night! Yet, it is the best experience of my life. My wedding day is the best day of my life, and the second, which comes close, is Survivor India."

It was husband Apurva Agnihotri, who encouraged her to participate. "I wasn't very keen; it was my genius hubby who told me to take up the show. I am glad I did."

So what kept her going? "(Contestants) Abhinav, Karan and Timmy were my pillars of strength."

The one skill she has learnt on the show, she says, is swimming.

A spendthrift, she also loves shopping and is scared to go to the island because she claims she can live without food but not make-up! Not to be mistaken for a dumb model, Gisele is smart and waits for the right time to take her revenge.

Priyanka Bassi is a television actress who began her career with an English soap opera, Bombay Talking. She made a name for herself in the serial Left Right Left, and also acted in the serials Rang Badalti Odhani and Surya the Super Cop.

"I am an adventurous person with strong will power. So I wanted to see how I would survive in a situation like this. I didn't watch any episodes of the international Survivor because I wanted to experience it for myself," says Priyanka.


"We had to fetch everything; there was no food, fire, water or shelter. We were just left on the island in the Philippines for 45 days with two pairs of clothes. On the very first day, my track pants tore and I had to borrow a dress from someone."

So what will she take back home from the show? "You learn to deal with things and people on the show."
