India loves its cricketers, but it's time for our men in blue to step aside and make way for India's hottest sports celebrities at the London Olympics this July. Here's a quick rundown of what's in store for Indians following the London Olympics 2012. We bring you the hottest and most talented Indian athletes from the subcontinent. Leander Paes

After all that mud-slinging in the media, Leander Paes confirms his participation at the Olympics. In 1996 he brought home the bronze. Can we expect a gold from the talented and much loved tennis player this time? His greatest partnership was with Mahesh Bhupathi, which has unfortunately hit a block.

Heena Sidhu

This sports star from Ludhiana has her eye on the target. The 23 year old has qualified as the Indian shooter for the Women's 10m Air Pistol event. In 2010 she brought home the gold from the Commonwealth games in New Delhi. Will the Olympic Games be a successful mission?

Saina Nehwal

She won the gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games for badminton and is now charged to smash her way through the Olympics to win another gold for her country. This young talent was brought up in Haryana, and has the face of an angel off field. She has inspired several girls to continue playing badminton and encouraged Indians to stop thinking of badminton as just a neighbourhood sport.



Jwala Gutta

Badminton gets another hottie: Jwala Gutta has the most mesmerizing eyes and a gentle smile. Her family is steeped in history and is originally from China. She married a badminton player, Chetan Anand, unfortunately the marriage didn’t work out and led to a divorce in 2011.

Laishram Bombayla Devi

You don’t want to mess with this skilled archer; she may have an arrow with your name on it and we guarantee it won't be a cupid’s arrow. Contrary to what her name suggests, Bombayla Devi is not from Bombay (Mumbai), she is from Manipur. She qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympics but failed to hit the bull’s eye. Will this Olympic Game prove fruitful? We certainly hope so.



Sania Mirza

She is the only Indian to be named in the top 30 Women’s Tennis world ranking. She scorches the field, but can she bring home the medal this time round? She has even scorched the web; she is one of the most googled female tennis players in the subcontinent.



Geeta Phogat

She has made history as she is the first woman wrestler from India. This belle is from Haryana too and is ready to make India proud of this girl child. Not many people know that she is one of the daughters of Indian wrestler Mahavir Singh and has outdone all her four sisters to qualify at the Olympics. Kudos to this fiery babe, we pin our hopes on you.

Mary Kom

She is a knockout on the Indian front. Mary Kom, India’s pugilist for the Olympics and an inspiration to girls from India and the world, has what it takes for the perfect Olympics guts and glory story. After a tough beginning, her career seems to have finally arrived at a place where she might actually benefit from her status as an Indian sports person. We wish this gutsy lady, and her supportive family, all the very best. May she win an Olympic gold and make us even more proud of her many achievements!



Vijender Singh

He could easily be mistaken for a model, but Vijender Singh is an Indian born wrestler who can make women go weak in their knees. Indians, especially women, were proud that this chocolate boy brought home the bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He promised that the Indian contingent will not come home empty handed and we cross our fingers once again, as we wait for the Games to begin.



Mahesh Bhupathi
He is one hottie that Bollywood can’t resist, his charm even attracted Bollywood beauty, Lara Dutta. An impressive fact about Bhupathi is that he was formerly married to a model, got a divorced and married a supermodel. But his on field talent gives him the reputation of the best doubles players in the world with 12 Grand Slam. All eyes are on Mahesh Bhupathi, will he prove his mettle at the London Olympics?
