A little more than a decade old in Bollywood, the actress has not only made her mark with some big banner films, but she's also come along way with her acting skills, her Hindi parlance and her dance moves. Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya (2005): Playing a mentally disturbed patient Sonia, Katrina managed to get noticed for her irresistible charm in this Salman Khan-Sushmita Sen starrer! We liked her in those short dresses and the casual look she sported in the song 'Just Chill'.

Namastey London (2007): Katrina’s British accent and unconventional good looks made her perfect for the role of Jasmeet. Denim skirts and knee-high boots completed her London-bred Punjabi girl look in the film. We also kinda liked her rough curls, sweet isn’t it?



Race (2008): It was corporate dressing for Katrina who plays Saif Ali Khan’s secretary in this blockbuster film. Though we fail to understand her morphing into a sexy seductress in the song 'Zara Zara Kiss Me'. Pointless, don’t you think?

Biography:

Katrina Kaif is better known as a Barbie Doll in the B-town. Katrina is a model turned actress who has come all the way from London. She has a mixed origin with a Kashmiri Indian dad and British mother. She has 7 siblings and spent 3 years of her life in London before coming to India, but who has since acquired British citizenship.

At the age of 14 she was approached for a jewelry campaign. Thereafter she continued modeling in London. She got her first break in Bollywoood in the film Boom (2003).

Unlike other artistes from foreign lands, Katrina did not experience any difficulties in getting a visa nor of getting it extended in India.

She has a problem with the Hindi diction but with each film she improved her language. She has got the gorgeous looks, she is not easily intimidated, but at the same time she admits that she is very emotional, sensitive, and concerned about her privacy. She prefers to wear comfortable non-revealing clothes when at home, hates to do her hair, and above all dislikes make-up.

Katrina Kaif is a personified version of a doll. Katrina Kaif was the inspiration for the most awaited doll of 'Barbie I Can Be a Movie Star' which was unveiled by her in May 2011.

In 2009 Kat walked the ramp as a real-life Barbie for the 'Barbie All Doll'd Up' show, is what inspired the doll makers to create an one-of-its -kind doll in the likeness of Katrina Kaif: one special highly-exclusive doll featuring the winning designer outfit by young prodigy Nishka Lulla worn on the runway by Katrina.

Katrina was going around with Ranbir Kapoor, the young dashing face of Bollywood. After her breakup with Salman they are still in good terms with each other. They both will be seen in Ek Tha Tiger which is scheduled to release in 2012
Controversies:

During the shooting of Namaste London (2006), which featured Katrina Kaif wearing a knee-length skirt inside Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti's shrine in Ajmer, had created uproar among khadims and the shrine administration.

As per Islamic traditions, women wearing skimpy outfits are not allowed into the shrine. It may be mentioned here that on October 2, during the shooting of Namaste London, Kaif had walked into the masjid wearing a knee-length skirt, which had created a uproar.
Fashion:

Katrina Kaif is always seen in classy and ravishing looks. With nude make up and an innocent smile Katrina has always looked outstanding. Whether it's her casual attire or dressed in a Manish Malhotra's traditional outfit or saris she has carried it off with grace and elan.

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009): She plays the perfect girl-next-door in this film opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Katrina is Jenny and is seen flaunting floral as well as checkered skirts with funky t-shirts. We found her cute with that hairband too





New York (2009): In the film New York, we saw Katrina Kaif as a cool and bubbly college girl dressed in mini skirts teamed with funky t-shirts and sleeveless jackets. The red-streaked hairstyle was also much-talked about and we think it suited her!



Tees Maar Khan (2010): Talk about this film and we can only remember the song ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’. Well, we are not complaining for what we realised was that Katrina could pull off a sexy number sans the sleaze factor! Flaunting a sexy pink choli with knee-length dhoti pants and lehengas, Katz surely surprised us.
