Run Out by an obstructing Brett Lee, India vs Australia, 2012

During the ODI series involving India and Australia, Brett Lee bowled a short of length delivery to Gautam Gambhir who in turn tapped it gently to the off-side. Sachin Tendulkar set off for the run only to find Brett Lee in the way. Having to avoid a collision with Brett Lee, Tendulkar veered off his course and had to slow down considerably. David Warner, fielding at point, in the meantime sneaked up rapidly and scored a direct hit finding Tendulkar, who had given up at this point, short of his crease.Tendulkar, a man who rarely shows emotion on the field, was seen gesturing towards the umpires to show his disapproval, before he looked to the heavens and trudged off. After all, he was on the verge of hitting his 100th hundreth.

Low catch for McIntosh's dismissal, India vs New Zealand, 2009

Sachin Tendulkar's low catch that sent New Zealand opener Tim McIntosh back to the pavilion in the second innings of the India vs New Zealand Test Series,came under the scanner with Kiwi coach Andy Moles questioning the on-field umpires decision not to revert it to the third umpire.While Moles claimed the catch was not taken cleanly, Tendulkar said he was "100 per cent confident."

Shoulder Before Wicket Dismissal, 1999

Sachin Tendulkar was ruled out LBW for a duck to Glenn McGrath after being struck on the shoulder.Tendulkar ducked thinking the ball to be a bouncer and was hit in front of the stumps. Australian umpire Darryl Harper ruled it out, making it the only known instance of a shoulder-before-wicket dismissal. This generated a lot of controversy, with even the Australian crowd rallying behind Tendulkar during the series.

Run Out after collision with Shoib Akhtar, 1998

The best-attended match in history-the first test of the Indo-Pak Test Series, with an official crowd of 100,000, was marred by riots following the decision of Sachin Tendulkar when he was run out after colliding with Shoaib Akhtar. Nadeem Khan threw down the stumps and Tendulkar, whose collision cost him vital inches; his bat had been grounded, but his bat had lifted at the time the bails were removed. Cue rioting crowds at the Eden Gardens, which were only calmed when Tendulkar did a walk around the ground; play resumed again after an interruption of 46 minutes.

Ball Tampering Allegations, 2001

In India's 2001 tour of South Africa in the second test match between India and South Africa at Port Elizabeth,match referee Mike Denness gave a suspended ban of one game to Sachin, in light of alleged ball tampering. Television cameras picked up images that suggested Tendulkar may have been involved in cleaning the seam of the cricket ball.The incident escalated to include allegations of racism and led to Mike Denness being barred from entering the venue of the third test match. The ICC revoked the status of the match as a Test as the teams rejected the appointed referee.The charges against Tendulkar and Sehwag's ban for excessive appealing triggered a massive backlash from the Indian public, wherein protestors took to the streets and burnt effigies of Denness. The matter was raised in the Indian parliament, the popular press termed Denness a racist, and the ICC was accused of discriminating against the emerging Third World.
