India's biggest reality show Bigg Boss kicks off tonight. The sixth season of this show has 15 contestants from various fields such as former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, TV actress Urvashi Dholakia, controversial cartoonist Aseem Trivedi and celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani. Navjot Singh Sidhu	48	Navjot Singh Sidhu had a volatile career as a cricketer from 1983 to 1999. He announced his retirement from cricket in December 1999. He played over 50 Test matches and over 100 ODIs scoring over 7,000 international runs. He has 27 centuries to his credit in an 18-year career. Sidhu restarted his career as a commentator for Nimbus sport when India toured Sri Lanka in 2001. He also figured as a judge on the television programme - "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge." He also appeared in other similar programmes as "Funjabi Chak De." Sidhu entered politics & won on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket from the Amritsar seat in the Indian general elections, 2004.
Sana Khan	25	Sana Khan is an Indian film actress and super model. Best known for her appearance in the Amul Macho ad ‘yeh to Bada toing hai’. Sana Khan is a popular Tollywood actress who was born and brought up in Mumbai. She worked as model in Mumbai, appearing in more than 30 ad films alongside the likes of Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. She later on, appeared in item numbers in films such as Bombay to Goa and Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, before she was signed in 2008 do to the lead female role in the Tamil film Silambattam.
Vrajesh Hirjee	35	Vrajesh has acted in over 40 Gujarati plays and has done a number of successful movies like Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Golmaal Returns and Tum Bin. He also hosted the show THE MAN'S world SHOW. He is an AIESEC Alumnus (Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales). Recently, he appeared in the water game show Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout as a contestant. He is currently seen in SAB TV sitcom Bhai Bhaiya Aur Brother.
Sampat Pal Devi	52	Sampat Pal Devi is the founder and leader of a group of women vigilantes in northern India's Uttar Pradesh state's Banda District, called the "Gulabi Gang". Sampat Pal Devi is a former government health worker who came into news after the launch of the book “Sampat Pal – A warrior in pink saree” in 2008. Sampat Pal Devi, a mother of five and a former government health worker found the Gulabi Gang in 2006 as a response to the widespread domestic abuse and other violence against women.
Urvashi Dholakia	33	Urvashi is half-Punjabi, half-Gujarati by birth. She was married at age 16, had twin sons at age 17, and was divorced one-and-a-half years later; her sons study in a boarding school. Urvashi is best known for playing the villainous character, Komolika, in the Star Plus daily soap opera, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, which ran from 2001 to 2008
Aashka Goradia	26	Born and brought up in Ahemdabad, Aashka made her acting debut with Balaji Telefilms. She dolled up Ekta Kapoor’s show Kkusum as a protagonist on Sony TV followed by Akela and Virrudh on Sony TV, Kahin To Hoga on Star Plus, Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and Saath Phere on Zee Tv, and Mere Apne on 9x made her popular amongst the television audience. Aashka has done some popular reality shows like Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla and Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Dinesh Pal Yadav		Bhojpuri film superstar Dinesh Lal Yadav a.k.a Nirahua, grabbed the limelight after delivering hit movies like 'Til Gum gauwa.' Nirahua is a popular face of music in Indian states like U.P, MP, Bihar & Jharkhand. He has in his credit some big block buster Bhojpuri movies and ia the first choice of south Indian producers who are investing in Bhojpuri Industry.
Delnaaz Irani		Dalnaz Irani is a popular Indian television and film actor, famous for potraying the chaarcter of Sweetoo, from the movie Kal Ho Na HoDelnaaz Irani is an Indian actress of Irani origin. She has acted in both Bollywood movies and Hindi television serials and has over twenty-five plays to her credit. She has worked with some of the biggest names in Bollywood including Shahrukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Salman Khan,Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta, and Kareena Kapoor. She was the host of Nach Baliye, a reality dance show with her husband Rajeev (23–29 October 2009). Delnaaz was married for 14 years with Rajeev Paul and then they split in 2010
Sapna Bhavnani	41	Sapna is a celebrity hair stylist. Her celebrity clientele includes the likes of Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Siddharth Malaya and John AbrahamA self-styled hippie hairdresser owns a strand salon Mad-O-Wot at Carter Road in Mumbai. When she's not experimenting with daring hairstyles on celebrity tresses at either of her two kitschy salons, she’s playing producer, director, writer, photographer, DJ or an actress. Sapna’s salon is a second home to bollywood celebrities like Sameera and Sushma Reddy, Dino Morea, Koena Mitra, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. Sapna has acted in movies like Pyar Ke Side Effects and Ugli Aur Pagli.
Aseem Trivedi	26	Aseem Trivedi is a controversial Indian political cartoonist and activist, best known for his anti corruption campaign Cartoons Against Corruption. He is a founder member of Save Your Voice, a movement against internet censorship in India. He has been awarded the Courage in Editorial Cartooning Award for 2012 by Cartoonists Rights Network International. Trivedi is originally from Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh, where his parents still live. He moved to Delhi in 2010, when he was just 22 and continued to work as a freelance cartoonist. He became closely involved with the Anna Hazare led campaign against corruption and displayed several of his cartoons during protests.
Rajeev Paul		Rajeev Paul is an Indian television actor best known for his negative role in Balaji’s daily soap Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii. He also participated in Nach Baliye,a dance reality show with his then wife Dalnaz Paul. Rajeev Paul was born and brought up in Ajmer and hails from an army family. He went to an acting school before starting his career as an actor with Mahesh Bhatt’s television soap Swabhimaan. Rajeev was married for 14 years to a famous Indian television actress Delnaaz Paul before they split in 2010.
Sayantani Ghosh	28	Sayantani Gohosh appeared in Naaginn - Waadon Ki Agniparikshaa , a serial on Zee TV in 2007. Sayantani won the Miss Calcutta contest and that brought her under the spot light. Later on, she ventured into Bengali films. Sayantani happened to act with Bengali film superstar Prasenjit. She made her acting debut on television with Kumkum in 2002. After Kumkum, Sayantani was picked to play the lead in Sahara One’s Ghar Ek Sapna. Later, she bagged another leading role in Aroona Irani’s Naagin in 2007. Sayantani showed us her funnier side in Comedy Circus 2 where she was paired with comedian Kuldeep Dubey.
Niketan Madhok	29	Niketan Madhok is a Model who has walked on ramp for famous Indian and International labels. He came into limelight after Lakme India Fashion Week 2002. Niketan started his career as a model in 1994 with shows in Mumbai and Bangalore. A year later he hit the Delhi ramp circuit.Niketan has worked with a lot of big names in the fashion industry like Rohit Bal, Rajiv Bajaj, Rohit Gandhi, J J Vallaya, Suneet Varma, Muzaffar Ali, Ashish Soni among others. He has walked the ramp at the Lakme India Fashion Week for a host of fashion designers including Rohit Bal, Aki Narula, Rocky S, and Ritu Kumar.
Karishma Kotak	30	Karishma moved to India in October 2005 where, within two months, she got herself onto the prestigious Kingfisher Swimsuit calendar. In 2006, Karishma took part in the "Lakme Fashion Week". She has also done music videos for artists such as Jay Sean, Sonu Nigam and Apache Indian. She has now become the brand ambassador for Dove (shampoo) in India. She remains best known for her work as the Kingfisher Girl. She has also appeared in a number of other commercials.
Kashif Qureshi	31	Kashif hails from the city of Hydrabad, Andhra Pradesh. He got selected to be the 'Common Man' (non-celebrity) via auditions held across India.

	Happenings	Day 1: As sunlight broke into the dawn of what seems to be an exciting season of Bigg Boss the housemates wake up to a beautiful day, curious to know what is in store for them. Khasif, Karishma, Delnaz and Sampat Pal were the first few ones to wake up. Delnaz and Aashka who were sharing a bed wake up to Delnaz’s tears. Delnaz was spotted crying to her family pictures. Meanwhile, Rajeev Paul was noticing the tears in his ex wife’s eyes and he couldn’t help but to tell Aashka to give her a warm hug. In sometime, the rest of the housemates are up and running with their morning chores. Rajeev and Delnaz were seen with Aashka outside in the garden area. Here Rajeev was seen expressing his concern to Delnaaz by asking her if she slept well etc. Delnaz did not seem to react in the sweetest of ways. Navjot is suddenly warned and called upon by Bigg Boss because he was not wearing his microphone. Out of the blue, Vrijesh Hirjee comes running in to the house, screaming on top of his voice. He is in his usual fun mode as he shouts at the housemates and tells them to have a shower and keep the bathrooms clean. After a while, Bigg Boss announces that it is time for the nominations to take place. All the housemates assemble in the living area and get ready for their first nominations. This was the most unique nomination till date on Bigg Boss as we had ‘Radhe’ witness the entire nomination.

Navjot Singh Sidhu: Former cricketer turned TV commentator and politician Navjot Sidhu was the first contestant to enter the Bigg Boss house. Let's see what drama the extremely talkative Navjot creates inside the house.



Sana Khan: If you're wondering who she is, does the 'ye tho bada toing hai' ring a bell? Yes, she is the model from the controversial Amul Macho innerwear ad. Sana has also done a few films in the south.



Urvashi Dholakia: Urvashi is one of the most popular vamps from the Balaji saas-bahu soaps. She's best known for her role as Komolika in Kasautii Zindagii Ka.



Brijesh Hirji: Brijesh has acted in several movies as a sidekick. His latest films are the Golmaal series and Apna Sapna Money Money.



Dinesh Yadav: Dinesh is a superstar of Bhojpuri cinema. He has vowed to wear a 'gamcha' over his head at all times during the show.



Aseem Trivedi: Aseem is a political cartoonist and activist who was recently in the news for his controversial cartoons against corruption. He plans on creating awareness against corruption in the house.



Sampat Pal: Sampat Pal is the commander of a group of women vigilantes and activists called Gulabi Gang in Uttar Pradesh.



Aashka Goradia: Aashka is a popular television actress and entered the house with Urvashi.



Sapna Bhavnani: Celebrity hairstylist Sapna came in with lot energy and didn't miss a chance to pull Salman Khan's leg. We're looking forward to watch her in the house.



Delnaz Paul: Delnaz has acted in many Bollywood films, TV serials and plays. She will be sharing the house with her ex-husband Rajeev Paul.



Rajeev Paul: Rajeev Paul's entry came has a rude to shock to his ex-wife Delnaz. We're intrigued to see what drama will be created around them.



Sayantani Ghosh: Sayantani is also a TV actress participating in Bigg Boss 6. If you've been wondering why she suddenly disappeared from Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuyien, here's why!



Karishma Kotak: Karishma is a London and Indian-based supermodel. She has done several commercials and was also a Kingfisher Girl. She's sure to give our television actresses a big complex!

When you hire the brand ‘Salman Khan’ there are fewer chances of TRPs not getting your way! Big Boss Season 5 had Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt as co-hosts but the producers this time didn’t want to take any risks. So we have apna ‘Sallu Bhai’ as the solo-host for the show. The promos that are currently on air show him in a very stylish appearance with some really witty dialogues. The promos are undoubtedly attention grabbing. Also all the shows currently on Colors take a break with ‘the eye’ of Bigg Boss that basically depicts how many days to go for the show to be on air.



The most recent promo of Bigg Boss shows Salman Khan in a monkey act. Basically he is enacting the three monkeys of Mahatma Gandhi that say, “Bura Mat Dekho, Bura Mat Kaho, Bura Mat Suno” (Don’t speak bad, Don’t see bad and don’t listen to bad).

Big Boss 6 Contestants:
Well it is Big Boss! So there has to be a lot of hype and speculations around the contestants who will participate in the show as house inmates. In one of our previous post: “Bigg Boss Season 6 to be launched in October – Registration Details” we mentioned that there were rumors of model and actress Kim Kardashian to be a part of Bigg Boss 6 but rumor died out soon when Kim herself cleared the air by replying to one of the tweets that said “Not true story”! But we can’t be really sure about this as the channel will make it a point to give you endless surprises at the last moment.

Salman Khan has been stressing in the promos and all over the media on the fact that Big Boss 6 will be a family entertainer this time. Well the show as been given prime time slot of 9:00 pm so that could be a probability. But looking back at our experience of 5 years, we are sure that even audience would have a huge doubt on the “Family” show part.

Latest buzz has it that India’s biggest reality show Bigg Boss on Colors, will shift its (in)famous Bigg Boss House from Karjat, back to its original location, Lonavala. The lush green hill-station of Lonavala, falls near the more-famed Khandala (thanks to Aamir Khan’s anthem “Aati Kya Khandala”), between Mumbai and Pune in the state of Maharashtra.


Lonavala, which has witnessed maximum seasons of the reality show, was forsaken after political party Shiv Sena almost brought the little town to a halt, calling for a bandh (strike), in protest of Pakistani starlet Veena Malik and Pakistani TV anchor Nawazish Ali being on Bigg Boss Season 4.
The show shifted to nearby location Karjat for Season 5, hosted by Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, but is now reported to move its House back to its original location in Lonavala this year for Bigg Boss 6. The new season is learnt to begin from October 2 (instead of October 1, as reported in a section of the media).


“The old Lonavala location is situated inside a huge compound in the midst of a buzzing market area, and that could have prompted the decision,” speculates Bigg Boss specialist Dale Bhagwagar. “It can be considered topographically advantageous and is also learnt to be more spacious compared to the one in Karjat,” he adds.
When Dale talks about reality television, we’ve got to take his word! After all, the Bollywood PR guru has handled the publicity for maximum celebrities on reality shows and is well aware of all nuances.


Shilpa Shetty (during Celebrity Big Brother), Ashmit Patel, Amar Upadhyay, Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Vindu Dara Singh, Sherlyn Chopra, Shamita Shetty, Zulfi Syed, Diana Hayden and Pooja Misrra (Bigg Boss), Kashmera Shah (Steal Ur Girlfriend), IshQ Bector (Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachcho) and Natasha Suri (Big Switch), are just a few names he has publicized over the years.


Even Veena Malik is said to have been invited on Bigg Boss because of a controversy with one of Dale’s earlier clients, actress Neetu Chandra. On the show, Veena attracted further notoriety when she cootchie-cooed with Ashmit Patel, another of the same publicist’s clients on Bigg Boss.

The upcoming season of Bigg Boss to allow common people in the house...

Bigg Boss is gearing up for another season and this time common people have got the opportunity to enter the house.

Ex-contestant Pooja Misrra who was seen in last season of Bigg Boss says that she would love to re-enter the house to reveal a few secrets. "I have a lot of scores to settle and a lot of stories to unmask!".

Pooja Misrra adds, "I think it's nice that regular people are being allowed in the house, but what eventually happens in the house depends on how they conduct themselves. I wish this was the case when I was in the Bigg Boss house. However I wish them all the best, as Bigg Boss is anything but an easy experience. It is tough to survive in the house and may the best one win!".

When we asked Pooja Misrra if it is fair to send non celebrities in the house she said, " Yes, I think they are finally being fair on Bigg Boss as far as standing a chance to win is concerned".

Well if Pooja Misrra re-enters the house, the audience and the show will surely get witness more spice and tadka.

Ali Asgar (actor)


Ali Asghar, alternately known as Ali Asgar, is an actor from India who has worked in film and television. He has worked in Bollywood most of the time as a comedian and is the current winner of the Comedy Circus competition with Kashif Khan and of Comedy circus ke taansen with Kapil. He is popular for his role of Kamal Agarwal in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. He thus became the most famous devar of television.



Krishna Abhishek

Krishna Abhishek is an Indian film actor and a stand up comedian. He is also a dancer in numerous dance reality shows, including, Nach Baliye (Season 3) (2007) and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Season 4) (2010).^[1] As a stand up comedian, he made name after he participated in successive Comedy Circus seasons, Comedy Circus 2 (2008) and was a wild card entry in Comedy Circus 3 (2009) with Sudesh Lehri, apart from Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo (2010) and Jubilee Comedy Circus (2011)


Sudesh Lehri

Sudesh Lehri (Sudesh Lahri) is an Indian stand-up comedian, film and television actor. Though already known in Punjabi films and television, he achieved acclaimed when he became one of the top three finalists at The Great Indian Laughter Challenge III in 2007.^[1] He was born in Amritsar, whom you can catch up with style Main Thappar Marna Tere & "Teri Maa Kaa Sakinaka".


Swapnil Joshi

Swapnil Joshi (born October 18, 1977) is an Indian film and television actor, in Hindi and Marathi languages.^[1] He is mainly known for his comic roles. He has done lead roles in TV series, Krishna (1993), Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyaan (2005), Marathi film Checkmate (2008) and Marathi film Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai (2010). As a stand-up comedian he first appeared in Comedy Circus 1 (2007), with VIP where the duo with Runners up,^[2] in Comedy Circus 2 (2008), where he performed with Purbi Joshi as a celebrity guest, later he appeared as contestant in Comedy Circus sequel, Maha Sangram (2010), with comedian, V.I.P., which they eventually won.^[3]

He featured as a judge in the popular show Fu Bai Fu, on Zee Marathi channel. He also is the lead role in TV comedy series Papad Pol - Shahabuddin Rathod Ki Rangeen Duniya (2010) on SAB TV.^[4] He is currently starring in the TV Serial Eka Lagnachi Dusari Goshta aired on Zee Marathi and Golmaal Hai Bhai Sab Golmaal Hai on Sab TV.


Kapil Sharma
Kapil Sharma (born 18 April 1981) is a stand-up comedian and actor from Amritsar, India. He was the winner of stand up comedy reality series, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge (Season 3) on STAR One, where he received acclaim for his stand-up comedy characters, Lala Roshan Lal and Shamsher Singh (the Punjab Police cop).^[1][2] In 2010, he won the Comedy Circus's 2010 version, Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars and Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo. In 2011, he won Jubilee Comedy Circus in a tie with Krushna Abhishek - Rajiv Nigam, Comedy Circus Ke Taansen and Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur on Sony Entertainment Television, partnering with Parvati Singhal, Shikha Singh, Ali Asgar, Shweta Tiwari, Sumona Chakravarti and others.^[3]




Comedy Circus is a reality-based stand up comedy show that brings India's TV celebrities to perform with professional comedian partners on a highly competitive and challenging stage. It is judged by Archana Puran Singh and Sohail Khan. Satish Shah and Johny Lever had judged this show. Archana Puran Singh, Shekhar Suman, Satish Shah, Rohit Shetty, Sohail Khan, Ajay Jadeja, Tusshar Kapoor, Daler Mehndi have also judged it. It's a show which uses improvisation, and all forms of humor in order to make the people laugh.
