Arrow X Factor: Storm Lee, Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson hit by flu

X Factor: Storm Lee, Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson hit by flu

Storm Lee, Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson have been hit by flu, as illness and bickering overshadowed preparations for Saturday's X Factor.

A bug has swept through The X Factor house and Storm, Matt and Rebecca have all had to sit out some rehearsals this week, along with members of Belle Amie and One Direction.

Treyc Cohen has managed to rehearse, but Cheryl Cole's wild card is also suffering with a sore throat.
Even Simon Cowell has been struck down by flu and The X Factor supremo missed Friday's run through for the live show - though reports suggest he may have been relieved to be at home in bed.
According to the Sun, the event was marred by squabbling about how much rehearsal time the contestants got, with some hopefuls even resorting to timing their rivals to check they were not being given any kind of advantage.

There were also disputes about the running order, with the acts desperate to avoid going on first.
An X Factor source said: 'People were saying, 'I can't go first', pretending that their nerves would get the better of them. In fact, the reality is they reckon it's the worst slot.
'Almost all were saying they wanted to go last or towards the end so they'd be fresh in the audience's mind when it came to voting. It's all tactical.'

Reports also suggest many of the contestants ignored Katie Waissel and Cher Lloyd at the rehearsal, after growing tired of their behaviour.
According to the Mirror, Cheryl is so worried about Katie and Cher's attitude that she has warned them they are alienating viewers

X Factor: Wagner favourite for axe despite Mary Byrne 'romance'

Rumours of a fledgling romance with Mary Byrne have done little to persuade punters that Wagner can survive this weekend's X Factor double eviction.

The Brazilian's appearance on the first live show was described as the 'most bonkers performance I've ever seen' by Simon Cowell, but he somehow secured enough support from viewers to survive.

Bookmakers are not convinced Louis Walsh's wild card can repeat the escape and he is 3/1 favourite with Ladbrokes to finish bottom of the public vote and be the first contestant to go on Sunday.
If Wagner does face the chop this weekend, he will take something away from his experience.
According to the Mirror, he has been getting very friendly with fellow fifty-something Mary and has even asked her out on a date.

An X Factor insider said: 'Mary's first reaction was to laugh but she was very flattered.'

They added: 'Wagner isn't taking no for an answer and some members of production have been calling them the new Renee and Renato.'
Katie Waissel and John Adeleye are the acts most fancied to fill the second elimination spot, but some punters expect to see Storm Lee in the bottom three.

William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said: 'The amount of money for Storm to go has caught us by surprise and it would suggest we are in for another disastrous set on Saturday night.'
Storm is 3/1 to go out on Sunday and 6/1 to finish bottom of the public vote with William Hill.
