Default X Factor 2017: Alisah Bonaobra wows the judges after flying from the Philippines

The Voice of the Philippines runner up on The X Factor UK

The Voice of the Philippines runner up Alisah Bonaobra auditions for The X Factor UK tonight.

22-year-old singer Alisah is from Manila, Philippines where she finished as runner up on their version of The Voice.

Hoping for better success on The X Factor, Alisah sings Beyoncé's Listen in tonight's room auditions.
"I believe my talent is world class and I'm here to represent all the Filipino community here in the UK," she says.
One of eight children, Alisah is joined by a huge group of family and friends at her audition although her eighteen(!) cats have thankfully been left at home.

"I first started singing when I was five and since then I've never stopped," Alisah says, before explaining she currently performs to support her family.

"We don't have enough money for ourselves," Alisah adds.

Alisah goes on to perform a cover Beyoncé's Listen as her supporters cheer on outside with Dermot O'Leary.
But what did the judges make of it?
"You're so tiny!" is Nicole Scherzinger's first remark.
"What does this mean to you?" asks Simon Cowell.

Alisah responds: "This X Factor journey is very memorable for me because I dedicate this fight for my family way back in the Philippines. I'm only here because of my mother's friend, who contributed enough money for a plane ticket, just to audition here."
Will Alisah get the three or more yeses she needs to get through to bootcamp?

Tune in to The X Factor 2017 tonight to see Alisah's audition and the judges' reaction.
Other acts this evening include Spencer Sutherland, a 24-year-old singer from Ohio, USA, and Montenegro's former Eurovision entry Slavko.

The X Factor airs at 8PM on ITV tonight.
