Default BEST OF 2017 - TOP 10 Indian TV shows HIT in Abroad/International

#BestOf2017: Shows That Went Overseas To Entertain Their Viewers!

Listed below are shows that shot their plot turners abroad.

Gone are the days when show makers would resort to plastic surgeries to up their ratings. The wave of shooting abroad has been in tellyworld for a while and now, it's all about splurging and shooting pivotal plot twisting points. While, this trend has been there for quite a while already, 2017 saw several shows giving travel goals.

Beyhadh - Mauritius

While this Sony TV show had 'beyhadh' buzz around it already, it made headlines when the makers flew their key cast to Mauritius to shoot for Arjun's (Kushal Tandon) proposal to Maya (Jennifer Winget) underwater, with Saanjh (Aneri Vajani) witnessing the same. And let's just say with the beautiful setting of Mauritius, the proposal was definitely one-up than most of the proposals we've seen so far on television.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai - Greece

Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira's (Shivangi Joshi) much delayed honeymoon sequence was shot in Greece. But wait, they were accompanied on their honeymoon in a twist of fate by Kartik's sister Kirti (Mohena Singh) and Naira's brother Naksh (Rishi Dev). The track was filled with much drama post which huge revelations were made too. The alluring locales of Greece seemed tailor made for the track twisting points.

Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki - Bangkok

Saumya (Rubina Dilaik), who is a kinnar and is given the name Tarana by the kinnar community, got kidnapped from her sister Surbhi's (Roshni Sahota) wedding and got sold in the international flesh trade market in Bangkok. The story then shifted to Bangkok where her husband Harman (Vivian Dsena) reaches the place in the nick of time and saves Saumya. Not the quintessential manner of shooting abroad for the beauty, the Bangkok setting was still pivotal and provided a high point in this Colors' social drama.

Haasil - Mauritius

The recently launched Haasil too made a trip to Mauritius, where the bond of friendship begins to develop between the once sworn enemies Aanchal (Nikita Dutta) and the Raichand brothers Ranveer (Zayed Khan) & Kabir (Vatsal Sheth). The Mauritius schedule also set the base for the current storyline as Ranvir falls for Aanchal (whereas she falls for Kabir) and has now gotten married to her because of her obsession. Beauty of the city was certainly intended, but the captivating drone shots may certainly have forced you to keep your eyes open.

Porus - Thailand

The Sony show is reportedly made with a budget of Rs. 500 crores and was infact shot extensively in Thailand apart from it's 9 acre spread in Umbergaon, Gujarat. In fact, the principle and crew of the show were even trained in Thailand by experts to perform key underwater stunts. With the show on-air for almost a month now, it all seems worth it, isn't it?

Yeh Hai Mohabbatein - Budapest

While Yeh Hai Mohabbatein shot abroad last year in Australia, the cast and crew flew down to Budapest this time around. The storyline revolved on how the entire Bhalla family is broken by a remarried Simmi (Shireen Mirza) and Param (Anurag Sharma), who are in Budapest right now. How I****a (Divyanka Tripathi) with the help of a now positive Ashok (Sangram Singh), reaches the place to get her family back together constituted the whole track. On-screen and off-screen, Budapest's presence was felt.

So these were shows that enthralled audience with their twists and turn and not to mention, the beauty that is across the seven seas.
