India TV has become the first news channel to launch a reality show based on the Cricket World Cup tournament that starts tomorrow. Inspired from the other reality show Bigg Boss, they have named their new show Bigg Toss but that is not the only similarity. The show has celebrity contestants just like Bigg Boss, who will stay in a villa in Noida. The participants include controversy queens Veena Malik & Rakhi Sawant, Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh Bundhel, RJ Simran among others.



The drama and spice cannot just be ignored when item girl Rakhi Sawant and Pakistani star, ***y Veena Malik come on screen. So, they were obvious choices when India TV chose 12 contestants for their unique show, ‘Big Toss’ to cash in on the World Cup Fever. The show will be shown only when India is playing. It will have 12 contestants divided into two groups. Each group will choose its favourite player from the Indian team and bet on him. The group that scores the maximum points will be declared the winner of a Honda car.

“Both of them can add a lot of drama to the show and people are interested in watching them on small screen,” explained Hemant Sharma, news editor of India TV, for choosing Rakhi and Veena for the show.

Sharma also explained why he came up with this idea of a show. “Usually, during the World Cup matches, all the news channels organize discussions with four or five experts in the studio. This concept doesn’t excite people anymore. We wanted to do something different so we zeroed in on this concept,” Sharma told.

Apart from Rakhi and Veena, the list of contestants includes cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh, singers Shankar Sawhney and Ashok Masti, beautician Sylvie and RJ Simran, among others.

Total 14 contestants have participated in Bigg Toss. They entered in the house of Bigg Toss on 17th February, 2011. Bigg Toss contestants are just like the housemates of Bigg Boss reality Show. All 14 participants of Bigg Toss will play some games based on the cricket world cup 2011.

First Episode of Bigg Toss:
All 14 contestants are introduced in the first episode of Bigg Toss TV Show. Veena Malik and Rakhi Sawant are introduced as the biggest contender of the Show.

Contestants of Bigg Toss on India TV entered in a very beautiful house. Entrance path was crossed with the ghost mansion.

Rules of Bigg Toss Show are also introduced in this episode. All contestants are divided into two teams in the captainship of Rakhi Sawant and Veena Malik. Third umpire is the decisive member of the Show. His decision will be final decision. He will be seen on TV screen as a black man.

We knew about the format of Bigg Toss reality Show in the first episode. The episode was really interesting and innovative for the ICC cricket world cup 2011.
