• ‘Aloukik Na Loukik’ fame Ridhish Chowdhury has bagged a new show. He has joined the cast of ‘Horo Ggouri Pice Hotel’.
  
• The show will launch on September 12.
  
• Bengali television is ready to witness a series of new launches. Horo Gouri Pice Hotel, produced by Jisshu U Sengupta and wife Nilanjana is one of the much-awaited launches. It will star Rahul Mazumdar and Suvomita Mukherjee as the lead pair. Jisshu and Nilanjana are producing the show after quite some time and audiences are looking forward to what they have to offer this time. ‘Horo Gouri Pice Hotel’ will narrate the story of Shankar and Oishani, who are from completely different backgrounds. While Oishani hails from a wealthy family and has a lavish lifestyle, Shankar is from a middle class family. Fate brings them together and they embark upon an interesting journey. “
• The story we wanted to narrate can be told through a movie. We can’t tell the story within 2 hrs or so. And television is the perfect medium for it,” says Jisshu. Nilanjana is equally excited about the TV venture. He says, “I am quite excited about the show. We are having a lot of fun during the shoot too.” The actress-turned-producer took a break to devote more time to family. Interestingly, Jisshu revealed, during the initial phase of their married life, they used to order food from a pice hotel just like ‘Horo Gouri’. “18 years back, when we got married, Nilanjana didn’t know much of cooking although she is a wonderful cook now. We used to order food from a similar pice hotel. After wrapping up my shooting, I used to buy food while returning home.” The memories made Nilanjana nostalgic. She confessed, “Other than basic cooking, I didn’t know anything. So we had to rely on the food bought from outside.”

• Get ready to welcome yet another new Bengali television show. For the past few weeks, rumours were rife that hit Bengali daily soap ‘Tomay Amay Mile’ is going to entertain the viewers with its second season. That’s not all, reports also suggested that Jisshu U Sengupta and Nilanjana are going to produce the show.

Story:

• The promo featuring a modern girl, who is now the daughter-in-law of a big household, and a guy who runs a pice hotel, took the audience on a nostalgic trip.
  
• The Bengali remake of Hindi show ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, featured Roosha Chatterjee and Riju Biswas as the lead.
  
• It was an instant hit and Bengali viewers simply fell in love with the story that revolved around Ushasi, an aspiring IPS officer and Nitin, a sweet seller.

Star Cast:

• Starring Rahul Mazumdar and Suvosmita Mukherjee, has indeed tickled the memories of the hit soap opera ‘Tomay Amay Mile’ which successfully ran for three years.
• Riju and Roosha’s chemistry was hit too. However, later, Gourab Roy Chowdhury replaced Riju in the show.
• The makers are however, promising that 'Horo Gourir Pice Hotel' will be different from 'Tomay Amay Mile'.
• With this, Jisshu and Nilanjana, are making a comeback as producers. Their production house has produced many popular shows including ‘Adwitiyo’ which also starred Jisshu besides Ditipriya Roy and Sohom Roychowdhury.
• Speaking about Rahul, the popular actor was last seen in ‘Khukumoni Home Delivery’, playing the male lead. He made his television debut with ‘Debi Choudhurani’ which made him a household name. Suvosmita, on the other hand, has also done OTT projects prior to this.
• TV show ‘Horogouri Pice Hotel’, produced by Jisshu U Sengupta and wife Nilanjana, was launched last year in September. The TV show, featuring Rahul Mazumdar and Subhosmita Mukherjee as the lead pair, has an ensemble cast, including Mithu Chakrabarty, Tania Kar, Manoj Ojha and others. Now, the makers have roped in yet another popular face to play an interesting character. Actor Ridhish Chowdhury has joined the cast of the show.
• ‘Aloukik Na Loukik’ fame Ridhish Chowdhury became a household name by playing Bikram’s character in ‘Aloukik Na Loukik’, a show produced by actor Prosenjit Chatterjee’s house. In ‘Horogouri Pice Hotel’, he (Ridhish) is playing an interesting role. He plays a Punjabi guy named Honey, who works at a garage. The actor looks almost unrecognisable with a turban and beard. According to the story, Honey is deeply in love with Bani (played by Soumi Banerjee), male protagonist Shankar’s sister. Honey’s character has interesting shades. Ridhish, who has been enjoying a travelling spree, recently joined the cast. The actor has been busy prepping up for the character prior to joining the show. Ridhish is seen in a TV show after quite some time. After ‘Aloukik Na Loukik’, which featured young actors Rajorshi Roy, Debapriyo Mukherjee, Sohini Banerjee, Soumyarup Saha and Kartikey Tripathi in prominent roles besides Ridhish, he (Ridhish) has been giving the small screen a miss. Besides playing a supporting role in ‘Kanyadaan’, Ridhish wasn’t seen in any shows. He did a few music videos besides bagging movies.
