Producer, singer, actor Sherrin Varghese (a mechanical Engineer Graduate) gained quick fame with his peppy numbers like "Meri Neend" in his first album with 4 group members. A Band of Boys was formed 8 years ago, through a viral audition in 2000, and around 1,000 aspirants from all over the country showed up. Hari Haran & Leslie Lewis (Colonial Cousins) selected a final 6 out of which 1 dropped out after going through the rigorous regime of training, singing and dancing rehearsals for about a year and half, after which the first video "Meri Neend" came out.
