Gautam Rode is an Indian actor and a former model popular on television. He has bagged the Dadasaheb Phalke Academy honour for his work on television. He was born on 14 August 1977 and hails from Delhi. He has finished his schooling from Army Public School, Delhi and graduated in Commerce from Bhagat Singh College, Delhi. He wanted to carry on with his father's business of stock broking in the share market, but destiny had other things in store for him. Gautam Rode is all set to mark his debut into B-Town with the upcoming film, Aksar 2 which is a sequel to the 2006 musical thriller Aksar. He will be seen opposite Zareen Khan. Both of them are currently shooting in Mauritius. The film is directed by Ananth Mahadevan who has also planned another film with Gautam and is also all praises for the actor.

Career
Gautam initially started out his acting career in Bollywood with the film Annarth (2002) opposite Preeti Jhangiani. He has also done various ads as well as albums. Tere Bina, an album by Abhijeet which featured Gautam in the music videos, received international acclaim after winning the MTV Asia Awards. This was followed by a long career on television.

His most memorable roles on television was in Baa Bahoo Aur Baby and in the kids adventure TV program Lucky. Rode made his Bollywood comeback in 2009 with Ram Gopal Verma's horror flick Agyaat where Gautam enacted the role of Sharman. He has also hosted many shows like India's Got Talent with Mieyang Chang and celebrity couple dance reality show Nach Baliye with Karan Wahi
