TV actress and presenter Mandira Bedi injured herself at a press conference rehearsal for a reality show yesterday; Mandira Bedi made a 13-foot high jump, only to end up with a hairline fracture.

Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi’s Season 2, fractured her right ankle while performing a stunt for the rehearsal of the show’s press conference yesterday and so now the fracture will take over six weeks to heal. Mandira will be out of action for quite some time.
An eyewitness said,” The participants were not informed about having to perform stunts during the press conference. Only Akshay Kumar was supposed to do the stunt. The girls were informed at the last minute, so they did not have enough time to rehearse which resulted in Rupali Ganguly and Nauheed Cyrusi opting out at the last minute. Even Mandira should have opted out of the stunt, as she was not confident. She was asked to jump from a height of 13 feet. She jumped and had a horrible fall and it’s strange that there was no doctor on the sets.”
While the press conference was supposed to be held at Mukesh Mills, Colaba, where the girls rehearsed. However, it shifted to the Taj due to nonstop rains and so the crew left Mandira unattended at Mukesh Mills. Later on Mandira went to Breach Candy Hospital alone and an X-ray confirmed a hairline fracture, which will be supported by a cast for four weeks. After the cast is removed, she will have to rest for two more weeks. Her work schedule will get affected. She is committed to her play and other assignments.
The channel’s spokesperson spoke in print, 'When the team of
Fear Factor was rehearsing for the press conference, Mandira unfortunately twisted her ankle. All the safety arrangements, including layers of safety mattresses, were in place. Nevertheless, incidents like these happens which we cannot change. We hope Mandy recovers from this soon.'
