Mouni Roy is 35-years-old (born on 28 September 1985) Bengali girl from Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India.

She was born to Bengali parents with one younger brother.She did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Babuhat, Cooch Behar. She completed her Major in English Literature from Miranda House, University of Delhi. After completing her graduation, at her parents’ insistence, she started doing mass communication from Jamia Milia Islamia University, Delhi, but left the course midway and shifted to Mumbai to try her luck in small screen and after that, she did not return back to Delhi.
She is lovingly called as Maanya and Mon by her family members, friends, and loved ones.

She worked in the popular TV serials like Kasturi, Naagin, Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, Do Saheliyaanetc.She also appeared in the reality shows like Comedy Nights Bachao, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 etc. She also hosted the dance show So You Think You Can Dance.
According to reports, Mouni is about to debut in Bollywood opposite Akshay Kumar in the year 2018. She was recommended to Akshay Kumar by Salman Khan. There are speculations that Salman might co-produce the film along with Dharma Productions.
