Kamal Khan was declared as the winner in the Grand Finale of Zee TV's SaReGaMaPa Singing Superstar last night..


Kamal Khan, the talented singer from Patiala, Punjab was crowned with the title of Hero Honda SaReGaMaPa Singing Superstar in yesterday's Grand Finale of the Zee singing reality show that was held at the Andheri Sports Club. The Finale was graced by the biggies of the music industry like Ustaad Ghulam Ali Khan, Mika Mehndi, Alka Yagnik, Jagjit Singh, Udit Narayan, Mithun Chakraborthy, Penaaz Masani. Actors like Ratan Rajput, Jasveer Kaur, Sayantani Ghosh and Geeta Kapoor were also part of the grand evening.

The nineteen-week series of fierce competition between contestants belonging to various regions culminated in a magnificent star studded Grand Finale. The final battle between Kamal, Abhilasha and Bisakh, saw Kamal emerge as the winner of Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar. The winner Kamal Khan walked away with a newly launched Grande MK II Car and a Hero Honda ZMR Bike. All the 3 finalists also got a one year Scholarship at A R Rehman's K M Music Conservatory in Chennai to learn music. Bisakh, Kamal and Abhilasha walked away with Samsung LED TV's as well.

Kamal Khan won by a very good margin of votes, and his tally stood at 1944814, while Abhilasha Chellum from Pune bagged 1831823 votes and was declared the first runner-up. Bisakh Jyoti from Kolkata was the second runner-up with 1722659 votes.

The conclusion of 'Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar' will bring a fresh new season of Dance India Dance, called DID Doubles starting December 31st onwards, Friday- Saturday at 9.30 p.m.
Congrats to Abhilasha and Bisakh for reaching the finals and wish all the three finalists Kamal and Abhilasha and Bisakh best of luck for future.

December 24, 2010: Santa will pour the best gift to one of the ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar’ finalists this Saturday when everyone will be in the mood of Christmas. The grand finale of the reality show will be aired live on Saturday evening and one lucky finalist will become the Singing Superstar and take home the grand prize money and the contract.


Abhilasha Venkatachellum, the 21 year old girl from Pune will compete with two other male finalists on the live episode. The 23 year old guy Bishakh Jyoti from Kolkata and 21 year old Kamal Khan from Patiyala will face each other on the stage for the last time. The fate of three aspiring Singing Superstars now depends on the audience votes.


However, the youngsters do not seem to be very worried about losing the title. All of them have their plan B and will pursue that if they fail to win the title tomorrow. Abhilasha, who was one of the finalists of the Marathi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, says that she wants to educate herself in music and will teach music to the kids. She also wants to invent a plan to treat illness with the help of music.
On the other hand, both the boys plan to have their own albums and turn composer. They also plan to shift their base to Mumbai as both of them are from other parts of the country.


One of them will not have to think for plan B because he or she won’t get the time to think of it as the channel offers a contract and the winner will remain busy throughout the year.
